Oceanside Florist, Inc

Found myself needing to order a floral arrangement for a funeral in Oceanside - was flying blind and picked on off a list - boy did i get lucky - the service was so friendly - they did such a great job - a beautiful - very tasteful arrangement. My boss said it was by far the most understated yet beautiful arrangement there. I highly recommend them!

Original Thai Restaurant

LOVE this place. We stumbled on them - we lived down the block and when looking on line for a near by Thai delivery, I found that they were actually ranked in the top 10 Thai restaurants in all of LA. Tucked away in a tiny corner strip mall, they do all the classic dishes the best! Dine in, carry out or they deliver - it's all good. Love their spicy noodles - try them once and you'll put them on speed dial. Nice Family owned and operated. The food is great - you'll be hooked.

St Paul's First Lutheran School & Preschool

This little school is an extension of the Saint Paul's Lutheran Church across the street - they feed up to the Church's private elementary. I found this little gem on a referral - they give preference to church members and their referrals. They are a no fuss no frills place - all about play and teaching your child the basics - but most of all they have a heart - we had the best teacher for the 2 year olds - Miss Loy has been there for years - she has such a way with the little ones - they really teach the kids to respect each other, be nice and helpful to their neighbor and instill a real sense of goodness. No high pressure French class here - lots of music time, arts and crafts, learning your abc's and a few bible stories. Very sweet little place. Our little one went all 3 years and now has graduated and is very ready for kindergarten.

Beverly Deli

I love this place for breakfast - i order their mini burritos - truly the size of your fist - you can eat 2 or 3 - they offer them egg and cheese only or with potato too. The salsa they serve with it is great. Highly recommend these little breakfast treats!

fed ex kinko's

This is your standard kinko's in that they are understaffed and over worked - much of their work being 24 lag - but let me just say - after calling more than 10 local kinko's and trying to meet a time crunch - not only did they slip me in, the night manager personally delivered the finished training manuals to the front steps of my house - somewhere around 4am. My presentation was at 9am - needless to say I made it and Curtis was promoted to Rock Star Status in my book! Will definitely go back!

This place is so CUTE! They have a great selection of Vintage inspired funky clothing and accessories. The store front is beautiful and located on the main drag of this frozen in time little Texas town. JOANN Fabrics & Crafts

If you live in the Valley and need fabric, notions or craft supplies - this is the place you have to go - they ususally have what you need - but they also usually have a cutting line 20 people deep - and the check out lines are worse... the store is pretty messy and not very organized in general - but when you need something, you're over a barrel - it's the only place to go without taking the trip down town.

Dodger Stadium

So we all know Dodger's Stadium is great fun - but if you want a stellar experience, get a few dugout seats - these are the ones just behind homeplate - you've never been so close to the game. Prior to the first pitch, you'll be treated to a fabulous buffet int he Dugout Club - comes with the ticket price - you only pay for alcohol. This place is often star studded - I took some friends and we saw Demi Moore in the ladies room, Cuba Gooding a few rows in front of us and a couple of stars from Days of our Lives. All the dodger dogs you can eat - it's a fabulous way to see the Dodger's play!

PROS: Complimentary Dodger Dogs and Cracker Jacks
CONS: Definitely in the sun - bring a hat

Banana Republic

This particular Banana Republic in the Glendale Galeria is very organized, well maintained - has a rather large ladies section and carries petites. The staff here is friendly and their dressing rooms are kept clear and always maintained with staff. Very helpful - offering to order or search other stores for you if they don't have what your'e looking for. This is a good Banana
