If you don't want to pay a lot for your books, come here - the selection is constantly changing and books typically cost only a few dollars. This store also has a great drama section, if you happen to be looking for plays. The employees know EVERYTHING about books and music, so they will be happy to answer any questions you have.
These are the comedians you'll find in Times Square every day handing out flyers for free admission to their nightly shows. They have stand up amateur comedians every night, but even with free admission there is a two drink minimum. Most of these guys are pretty funny, but you'll have your occasional dud - mostly because it doesn't take a lot to be able to perform here. Still, it's a good time and it's cheap relative to other nightly New York activities.
This orthodontist is perfect for school aged kids, because he is used to working around school schedules as well as getting people in and out as fast as possible without sacrificing an ounce of quality orthodontistry. The office even offers shuttles back to school, making it easy for parents to drop their kids off and head back home or to work. Everyone who needed braces from my school, St. John's, went here and all were more then happy with the results.
I have been going to Dr. Fulenwider since I was a wee little tot, and have always received excellent dental care. The dental hygenists are extremely nice and very gentle, and you're never forced into unnecessary teeth 'extras,' Dr. Fulenwider will always remember you, and your teeth will thank you for coming to his office.
I have had multiple piercings done here, and have been extremely satisfied with the clean environment and the experienced piercers. They make the experience as painless as possible - I barely felt anything when my nose was pierced. The tattoo artists are equally skilled, and the environment is completely professional.
Hastings is a bit more pricey then it should be, and their selection isn't as broad as it could be - BUT it's often better then its large chain counterparts such as Best Buy or Blockbuster. Unless you want to rent, then I would go to Blockbuster for a better selection. What I like best about Hastings is their promotional midnight sales of major new releases whether it be music, games, or movies. Best Buy has a larger selection, but will be more expensive - so I would always check Hastings first.
For recreational skating, this rink couldn't be better located because it's in the middle of the best mall in Houston. For the expert and neophyte figure skater, the rink hosts both early morning and afternoon sessions as well as conditioning classes both on and off the ice taught by qualified instructors. I know what I am talking about, I trained here for ten years and I also worked here. The ice surface is well maintained, and the only annoyance is the huge tree that invades the middle of the rink during Christmas. So for a month I would train somewhere else, since it's during competition season.
Roller rinks have recently tended to be linked more to entertainment pasttimes than current weeknight or weekend FUN. I say, bring back the rollergirls .. and boys! This rink really is a retro spirited good time, as you skate around in colored lights to music of all eras. There are also video games and concession stands to keep the roller-phobic entertained. There are always contests, both racing and obstacle course related, and I promise you'll have a good time. Great for birthday parties!.
For years we had to buy our uniforms here, forced by the school's strict attire policy. There wasn't a single piece of clothing that didn't fall apart, especially the polo shirts. The pants were uncomfortable, to the point where students would buy other pants and stich on the Sue Mills label. These uniforms are horrible, and if you have the option I appeal to your sense of reason and your wallet to shop anywhere else!
It's not like you really have a choice when you step through the doors of Parker, since you're forced to wear their uniforms. However, Parker is a huge step up from Sue Mills uniforms that crumble and tear when lightly brushed. Their uniforms are sturdy, I never had any problems with stiching coming undone or buttons falling off. They also help you with sizing, and the schools are divided in a way that makes finding everything you need that less painful.
