Hi Tech Computers isn't exactly the latest in the computer biz or anything, but they do a good job with what they do, computer repair. I once had a problem that I couldn't solve myself and took it to them, and they went through everything with me. They offer some awesome service and also sell some computer parts as well, for those who are into building things themselves. The only problem is the pricing, I mean, why should I pay forty bucks if it isn't even broken?
Toys R Us is the king of toy stores and probably will always be. This certain one is off Morena and is probably the largest one in the area. Right when you come in, you'll notice the endless rows of toys, which would probably be heaven for any kid. The staff is very young and helpful, but they don't seem to know about the latest everything in toys. They do offer cheap pricing, so its a great buy for everyone.
Located in the Mission Valley Mall Complex, K-B Toys is a small but very cool store. They don't get much business until the holiday season, but in my own opinion, they always have good pricing. They sell all of the latest toys and this is the only place that I've reserved items at. They have friendly service and stay true to helping the consumer.
I actually have a friend who works here and I've probably made quite a few bears in my times here. They have one of the coolest concepts: make your own teddy bear, from its body, to its eyes, to what it wears! You even get to stuff it yourself, which is great, whether you are young or old. The only thing I can say is that its a wonderful experience, but expect to go deep into the pockets, its a really fun time.
The Baby Go Round Resale store is a great place to get baby furniture or even young childrens for dirt cheap pricing. Since they buy lots in bulk, they are able to sell it for great low prices and give great service. When I went, I was helped by an energetic young man who knew everything he was talking about and helped me lots. Ever since, I always go here when I need furniture for a young one.
Burlington Coat Factory offers some really cheap prices on name brand clothing. They have a nice selection in an okay organization. The service is nice and the store is huge, so you'll find lots of stuff. The only problem I've found is that theres some counterfeit things of name brand items, or they will be in horrible condition. This is bad business and isn't what I would like to pay for.
Panda's Domestic Service is a nice little babysitting place off Ruffner Road. They have a really nice staff that does a great job with the kids and take good care of the area. Theres lots of toys and even planned activities for the kids, which is great because theres always something new. I could tell that they really loved what they were doing, so next time you need a babysitter, consider them.
The guys over at Gregs Carnival Rides were great when I rented an astrojump from them a few months ago. They do fast and safe setup of it right where you need it, and a great clean-up after. I don't really know whats good for pricing, but this didn't exactly kill my wallet either. They have great service that has been getting the word around.
Allstate was where I went to get my behind-a-wheel lessons when I was a teenager and that wasn't the best decision. The instructors seem really bored and uninterested on how well you do, and the cars often break down and you can't even finish your lesson most of the time. Plus, they can't even schedule things on time and have to delay for things too. This has to be one of the worst schools out there, I can't see how anything could be worse.
Bakkers does a great job teaching you the basics of driving and if you listen, its basically a 100% chance of passing any driving test. They have great initiatives, such as getting money back if you miss nothing on tests and offer behind the wheel as well. The only complaint I have is the size of the classes and the instructors, who sometimes seem bored and don't do as good of a job as they should be doing.
