Funnies Frozen Yogurt
Funnies is a little yogurt shop that looks innocent enough from the outside
Then you go in and order a medium yogurt that is about one and a half bites and it costs you $5.00.
You want sprinkles and chocolate sauce too? Better put your car up for sale.
Definitely not enough yogurt for the price.
Wahoo Fish Taco
Wahoo.... for Wahoos.....
Wahoos has amazing chicken bowls. They use really good vegetable, and i love their teriyaki sauce. Chances are you will be able to make any one person in a large group happy if you bring them here.
Their walls are entertaining to enjoy while you eat too
Food and free entertainment... yes!
Living Room Coffehouse
The Living Room is a nice place for coffee or a snack. I think they also offer some sorts of "meals", but I have never tried them here. It is an interesting atmosphere, but definitely worth checking out.
Just don't be those annoying giggling or loud talking people in the upper area when people are trying to study or concentrate.
:)
Lucky Brand
i am not that impressed with the Lucky Brand in general.
I don't mind paying more for clothes if there is a reason for it. Lucky seems to me to be overpriced, while they offer nothing unique or special. Their jeans seem to be popular, but I don't see any reason for them to be as expensive as they are.
This store is nice, it's very spacious. I would enjoy shopping around in there more if I felt they were more reasonably priced.
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is a great coffee shop. This location is nice, they have a little outdoor seating are wit a fireplace that is nice on not too cold evenings. (It doesn't give off THAT much heat). They employees are really nice here too.. They also have the punch cards where you buy so many and get one free.. those babies add up!
The Coffee Bean No 43
Mmm... Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has an amazing Moroccan Mint tea. It is wonderful hot or cold. This location is right outside of Hillcrest, across from Buffalo Exchange. It would be a great morning stop, or a nice break while you are strolling around on a shopping day.
Buffalo Exchange
This Buffalo Exchange is in a great location. Right across from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. They do have great prices on high-end clothing. I guess it makes sense then that they are also really picky about what clothes they will buy off of you. You can bring in clothing that you no longer want, and if they think they will sell it, they will buy it off of you. I thought I would get some money for some clothes I no longer wore, but I walked out of the store empty handed.
I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Hash House a Go Go
The Hash House A Gogo is a great breakfast stop. I have only eaten here for breakfast. It is a little bit on the high end as far as prices go, but you get ENORMOUS amounts of food, so it is well worth it.
There are lines pretty often, and you have to wait usually ten minutes or more. i would definitely recommend calling ahead to put your name in.
Their pancakes... honestly bigger than your face. I kid you not... don't believe me? Go and see
Trader Joe's
Trader Joes is a great supermarket for unique and tasty snacks or meal ideas. They have a lot of brands and types of foods that you can't get at Safeway or Vons.
They probably aren't the best one-stop grocery stop, because a lot of their foods can be on the expensive side. Next time you go, be sure to pick up some tejava tea to try!
The Closet
The Closet is a good blace to go if you have some time to look around. They have a lot of the basics in tons of colors.
This store is pretty big, and well organized. If you enjoy places like Ross and thrift stores- where you have to hunt, but eventually you find the good stuff, you will want to try the closet.
