If you love wearing desiger brands but can't afford the name this is the place for you. I got a pair of paper jeans for $35!!! The clothes look brand new. They also have some really fun and funky retro stuff. They have been featured in US magazine and celebrities like Britney Spears shops there. The staff are all really cool and they help you find what you are looking for. A very cool place to hit up on your way home from the beach!
This location is a little cluttered and the staff isn't as willing to help out as some of the other locations. But it's usually not very crowded. Parking isn't always easy to find, I guess the shopping plaza is pretty busy. If you aren't familar with the store - it's a craft store. They have everything you need from scrapbooking to cake decorating. Prices are really good. Around the holidays they have great specials on holiday decorations and afterwards have really good sales. It's also really good place for school projects - they have everything you need for that A+ science project.
I thought all of these had gone out of business. The store is crowded and not very shopper friendly. The prices on some items are really good but they make up for it by inflating the prices of other toys. The toy selection they have is very small, a lot of the toys are out dated and old. The staff however is really helpful and nice. This is not my favorite toy store.
My sisters brownie troop went to Build a Bear and each girl got to pick out everything all on their own, it was a neat experience. If you aren't familar with this store. It looks similar to a toy factory. The atmosphere is very bright and inviting. You select the animal you want to bring to life, take it over to be stuffed - you can put a sound in it if you want and every animal has a heart so you kiss it make a wish and put the heart in and they stuff it to your liking. Then you can take it around and give it a pretend bath and groom it's hair. Pick out outfits for your animal. Then the final stage is getting it's birth certificate - you sit at small computers and type up your animals information. It's all very fun. Each animal goes home in it's own special box. The staff is very friendly and the prices are good. They also have a website so incase you want to order additional clothes later and what not that's available also.
My family enjoyed this park even better than the San Diego Zoo. They are partners and you can get a pass to visit both parks if you wish. Sea World also offers a special pass where you can go to those parks as well as a few others if you are looking to hit all the spots. This park is like being on a safari!! You feel as though you are in their habitat. There aren't many cages - it's us watching them in their element. VERY COOL. Our favorite part was the train ride around the perameter of the park - it's a must see.
This zoo is pretty great. Make sure you wear tennis shoes because there is a lot of walking and many of it is at an incline. The exhibits are nice and well kept. It does get crowded but not to a point where it's unpleasant. The price of food inside the park isn't unreasonable, they have really great kids meals that include a free bucket - which is great if your kids can't eat the whole meal all at once or it's good for carrying those little suvinears. The gift shops are beautiful, a variety of gifts. Once a year they have a admission free day - it is worth going online and finding out when it is. Our family really enjoyed our time at the zoo. The often have special programs at night that are unique to the time of year so check that out too!!
I really enjoyed this store they have a lot of really creative things to do with your classroom. My mother teaches elementary school and this was a great place for us to come to get her materials to decorate with. They have items other stores do not. Their selection is great and prices are not too bad. The staff was really friendly and went above and beyond to help us find some things we were looking for. This is also a great place for parents of young kids to go as well. They have posters and stuff that you can put up in your house to encourage learning, also some really great books!!
We really enjoyed our trip on the charter. They offer half day all the way up to two day fishing trips and travel locally as well as farther out. The trip included snacks and drinks (even beer), tackle, they will fillet your catch and keep if cold, and you receive your Mexican fishing license. There are sleeping accomodations on the boat if you take a longer trip. They offer fishing trips, sightseeing trips, whale watching (which is very popular), and some other trips as well. The price was average compared to the other charters in town. The crew was all very friendly and made you feel at home.
Even thought we have lived here for a while there are still aspects of the city you just take for granted. Taking one of these tours is a really great way to learn something new or discover a new area. The prices aren't bad, around $25. Go get to ride in an actual trolley car which is fun! The tour we took was two hours and covered about 100 areas of interest. At some of the shops you are allowed to get off the trolley and explore. VERY highly recommended. Great for families or those who are new in town.
The location of this new baseball stadium is perfect! If you live in San Diego I'm sure you watched the stadium go up and if you haven't been yet you really need to experience it. It is so much better than the old stadium. I have not found a bad seat and prices are not bad. They offer packages and other deals that are really good. The food is great, it's pricey but what ballpark doesn't have expensive food!! Parking is average - but if you are use to downtown you know the drill. Even if you are visiting this is higly recommended. Grab a bite to eat in the gas lamp and then go on over to the stadium to watch a game.
