Villa Dry Cleaner
The Villa Dry Cleaner is very average. That's good because they don't make mistakes and they get your clothes back to you in a reasonable time. However, their prices are not as low as some other dry cleaners in the area. It's not bad: 4 shirts, 2 pants, 1 sweater for $21. There is plenty of free parking in the shopping center, but no drive through.
PROS: Good cleaning - No problems
CONS: Prices could be lower - No drive-through
Iron Horse Casino
The Iron Horse is okay for a cardroom. The main "casino" has about 14 tables (poker, blackjack, etc). The restaurant is average, as is the bar. The Iron Horse does have a few pool tables if you aren't into gambling. If you are looking for serious gaming action, you'll probably want to check out another cardroom.
PROS: Cheap drinks - Location - Plenty of parking
CONS: Small - Dark - Boring
Mortons
Mor is a world-class furniture store. The showroom is spacious and well-planned to give you helpful decorating ideas. The sales staff is helpful and well trained. Financing was quick and easy. Delivery was on time and professional. We even had to cancel an item and they happily refunded our money. They offer a free snack bar with soda, cookies and popcorn.
PROS: Great show room - Professional staff
CONS:
Rudys Barbershop
Rudy's isn't your father's barber shop. The shop is edgy and the stylists are fun (expect to see mohawks and boots). Don't be intimidated by the hip atmosphere, you can get a nice cut and style at a reasonable price ($15-$20). You don't need an appointment - Just drop by.
PROS: Fun - Friendly - Good Value
CONS:
Cheri McConnell
Cheri is an extremely helpful agent that helped me buy a house. Coming from out of state, I was under a lot of pressure to buy a house and Cheri made the experience fun and easy. Cheri quickly figures out what you are looking for and narrows your search down to houses you would like. She's great at figuring out your style. If you don't know what you're looking for, she'll help you find a great neighborhood and a house in your price range.
PROS: Friendly - Really knows the Seattle market
CONS:
Reunions With Class Incorporated
They help take the stress out of planning a high school reunion. They research your lost classmates, help plan the events and set up a web site for your class. Reunions With Class is a bit more expensive than other services, but they do good work.
PROS: Provides a lot of help planning reunion
CONS: A bit more expensive than others
Federal Army & Navy Surplus
What a fun little store in the heart of downtown Seattle. This is a great place to find inexpensive supplies for camping, hiking, fishing or paintballing. They also carry inexpensive clothing: gloves, coats, shirts, hats, etc. The store is small, but they stuff a lot into that little space. Parking is a problem, but there are several meters and pay lots in the area.
PROS: Great supplies - Friendly staff
CONS: Small store - Not a lot of parking
Grand Hyatt Seattle
This hotel is in a nice location, North of downtown Seattle, near the convention center. The hotel and its rooms are beautiful and the accommodation are second to none. The front-desk staff messed up and charged my credit card (which they said was only for incidental charges) with the room rate, when my company was supposed to pick up the tab. Just watch your bill and you'll have a great experience.
Fun Forest Amusement Park
The Fun Forest is in the heart of the Seattle Center. It's a small, urban amusement park with miniature golf, bumper cars, video games, laser tag and more. Parking is expensive, especially during special events. You can walk to dozens of great restaurants.
The Lawn Patrol Incorporated
The Lawn Patrol actually rearranged their schedule to keep my business. It took less than 2 hours to transform my yard from over-grown to its original beauty. The workers were friendly, fast and efficient.
