We used to use Sharp Rees Steely as our medical group. Every time we went in for a scheduled appointment, it took forever for them to see us. We were never late, but some times it would be 45 minutes or more past our appointment time and we would still be waiting. The doctors were always hurried and didn't take the time to find out all your problems. I have several medical problems, but was never able to address more than one in a visit. One time the doctor came in while I was changing- didn't knock- and stood there with the door wide open while she asked me "Whats your problem today?" I felt that was very rude, and it was the last straw. I switched plans that day.
Lakeside Community Center
Our local community center offers lots of services for people in Lakeside. A visit will yield you lots of brochures and information about different classes that are available. It is also a nice place just to sit outside and enjoy the adjacent Lindo Park. I have seen several weddings held here also.
Stelzer Park
This park has tons of hiking trails, and there is a little stream to look at. Lots of open space, and group picnic shelters. We held our church picnic here, and everyone had a great time. There are lots of trees, play structures for the kids and the park is very accessible to the handicapped.
Marieta's East
The food at this mexican restaurant is very good- service was a little slower than we like, but they were really busy, so we understood. The place is really dark inside, and I did see trash on the floor, but again, they were really busy. The bathrooms were clean, and all of our needs were met. The staff was friendly.
Casa Nova
Friends of ours raved about this restaurant- said they go here all the time. We decided to try it, and actually went with them one evening. I can say, I wasn't impressed with the food- I have definitely had much better. The waitress stood by the table and chatted with my friend for some time before she submitted our order, and when I went up to pay the bill, I stood around for nearly 10 minutes, even though they were not busy. We wouldn't go here again.
China Panda Garden
We took our extended family here for dinner while they were in town, and received service that was over and above. Their restaurant is very clean, and the food is fresh and very well prepared- and tastes excellent! Their prices are reasonable too. I will definitely be going here again! One tip- call first to make sure they are open. we had tried to go a couple times before, and they had closed for a private party.
Samurai Sams Teriyaki Grill
I like Samurai Sam's because of the fast service, clean restaurant, and the good food. It basically is stir-fry veggies and meat, and rice or noodles. It is not greasy, or loaded down with sauces like other stir fry places, and the veggies are still crisp, not cooked so long they got mushy. They have good service, too.
Be Wise Ranch
Take a look at this companies website for directions to get there and info about their area delivery subscriptions. We have shared a subscription with friends, and the produce we receive is always very fresh, and it is all organic and locally grown. It costs lower over all than buying in the market. It is fun to also experiment with new types of produce that you wouldn't ordinarily buy at the store.
Evergreen Mobile Home & Rv Park
We visited this RV park while looking for a place to park. It was difficult to find, and we were sorely disappointed! It is tremendously run down, and very crowded. It doesn't seem to be in the best part of town, either. I would definitely not recommend this park to anyone!
Cactus Park B M X
We have gone here to watch the BMX bikers show off. It is an interesting way to pass the time. It has good access and plenty of parking for all. There is a playground nearby, as well as a baseball field. There are bathrooms, but they are really smelly- so bad we left the playground early because you could smell them next door! Overall Cactus Park is OK, and has several activities.
