We have always liked Saty Hill, for the atmosphere and prices. It is a family run pool hall, no alcohol allowed, plenty of free parking and a nice safe location to hang out and have some fun.
The restrooms are not the best, though; however, this place is a lot more family friendly than other pool halls in the Towson/Parkville area.
Recher always seems to get the best local bands, the up and coming, soon to be stars. The neighborhood is fairly upscale and safe, although I always have trouble finding a parkging space.
The ticket prices also mean that you can afford to eat dinner out in Towson before going to Recher.
This shop has a great selection of hand crafted wooden furniture and home accents. The quality is really good, and the prices are very fair.
The only downside for me was to haul and load the furniture I purchased, as there really is no easy way to load the furniture at this farmer's market.
I love to shop at Root's in the summer and fall for fresh produce. The market is only open on Tuesdays!
Parking can be a bother, be careful! Also, be sure to wear good walking shoes. There are also plenty of prepared food stands for treats like fries or pizza or hot sandwiches.
Nice place for a family to spend a summer evening.
I save the Clipper Magazine in my coupon drawer so that if we decide to go out to eat we have a selection of restaurant couponts.
Also, the Clipper Magazine does a nice job with the annual restaurant review issue... It is nice to see how other folks in Lancaster County feel about the restaurants.
We purchased a home in Lancaster County and as part of the agreement, the home seller had the carpets cleaned by this company. Well, there was still pet dander in some rooms when we did our walkthrough. Due to wanting to settle on time, the seller called them to come out and finish the job... you could see by the tool marks in the carpet that they made no attempt to get into corners.
They promised to show up at a specific time the day before settlement, never showed. We settled anyway and then of course, they would not guarentee the work since we have to move in our furniture... not even the seller could get them to agree to finish the job.
I have visited this store many times just to browes and have found the "perfect gift" to buy and tuck away for that person. The selection is great and changes all the time/they have nice clearance sales.
They usually have something to taste test from their food product line but the samples are left out til they are stale so I have only made that mistake once!
I like Sunny's but have found that it is more clothing for the outdoors than equipment. We needed a special nice for a fisherman's gift and they directed us to a store at the mall.
The clothing they carry is high priced in my opinion; I browsed the sale racks to see what we could afford but never did buy anything there in the few times we have stopped by.
This place is great if you need an evening/weekend visit or cannot be seen by your doctor. It is first come first served, though, no appointments are taken. If you see a doctor or care giver that you like, you can call their number and listen to the schedule to see when they will be on duty again. If you do that, tell the receptionist that it is a follow-up with that person and they will get you in with him/her. That might make the wait a little longer but it is your health we are talking about here :)
On a funny note, one time I took a magazine from the lobby into the exam room to read while I waited. Well, the doctor stopped by and the first thing he said was not to read those magazines, as sick people have touched them and coughed on them. I had never thought about that until that moment (which was a few years ago) and now I NEVER read the mags in waiting rooms!
I hate going to the dentist but Dr. Suit has made it bearable. His chair-side manner and sense of humor make it easier for me to go there.
He is very sensitive to your needs, I think he would even be great w/children or first time visitors. His mom is the receptionist, how cute!
