This store is actually nice for second-hand stuff; they have nice displays, etc. The dressrooms leave a lot to be desired though.
They do a nice job at restocking holiday items through the seasons. I was there looking for some crafting materials and they were adding to a Halloween display, some never used items.
This is a "new" find for me, I have used this salon twice; I will probably never go anywhere else :) The customer service is great, I had my hair cut both times by Cecilia herself. She is the owner/manager and very good!
She also coaches her stylists, which seems to make them more confident. No appointment necessary, which helps me with a busy schedule!
I have had to order books twice at this store that were not in stock; both orders had errors.
The first one I ordered in paperback and they received in hardback; if I didnt want the hardback I still had to pay the shipping. So I bought it.
The second special order was the wrong printing/edition and my professor recommend that I not bother purchasing it; they didn't even mention paying the shipping that time, so I didn't buy it.
This bank is a joke; I had a check drawn on their bank that they would not cash. I asked for the manager who said they could cash it for a FEE of $5. He said if I opened an account there would be no fee; the wait to open an account was like an hour though, he told me that he had sent home the one rep because she was having personal problems.
Well, you have to be rich to avoid monthly fees so as I waited to open my account I changed my mind and went down the street to another bank. Happy there though!
The thing that I like best about Waldens in the mall is the sale shelves! They always seem to have something on clearance that I think I need for my personal library.
They do have the books in stock that I want as well, I have never had to order a current best seller.
This is a Christian bookstore, so if you are looking for something "modern" like you would find at the grocery checkout, forget this place. It is a great place to take kids to browse, my niece and nephew love to spend their birthday money here and I never worry about what aisle they might wonder into as the books are all appropriate.
They have other stuff too, like stickers and craft items, great for Sunday school charts, etc.
I ordered my class ring from these folks a million years ago, so they have been in business a long time :) I have been a customer there ever since high school.
They have great service folks working there, very friendly and helpful. I have never felt rushed there, and they let me browse without following me around the store.
I had an issue with a dry cleaned coat at t this store; well, the clerk told me only the manager would be able to help me. The manager said I have signed a waiver stating that I knew my item would be cleaner by another cleaner, Modern was the middleman and not responsible.
Since I had not signed anything, I asked to see my signature... the manager could not find the paper, of course, so told me that I didn't have to pay for the dry cleaning... since my item was ruined, I was not able to hold them liable as they did not do the cleaning... so in reality, I didn't have to pay for the cleaning that ruined my coat.... great!
This place is amazing! We spend hours just looking there. They have hard to find items, the BEST service folks you can ever find.
We needed a certain hex bolt that Home Depot said they never heard of before... well a trip to Zimmerman's and of course, we had our bolt :)
If you ever need farm stuff, too, they are the place to go.
We have used Royer's for several special occassions where we ordered flowers in advance. The flowers were always exactly what we wanted/ordered, and ready on time... they have even helped carry to the car once for a long order for my Mom's 50th Bday party.
The flowers in the store are fairly pricey but I know they are good quality.
