When I moved to Pennsylvania, I went to manpower to find a temp job while I sent resumes for a permanent position. The Lancaster office is conveniently located with free parking. They even had walk-in hours so I was able to start work the next day, after I went in to complete the paperwork :)
Ask for Joan, she is great.
We priced this location to join a "gym" and the reception folks were terrible. They were almost hostile about the pricing; I needed to understand their structure and they weren't wlling to discuss any details until I joined... hmmmm ?
For example, there is an annual fee, plus a per class fee; however you do not have to be a member to attend a class, you can just pay for that class. So, I wondered how much the classes cost for members and non-members,make sense? To see if it would be cheaper to attend as a non-member.
Well, they would not give me the pricing unless I joined... duh?
I have spent hours and hours wondering around this store; the place is awesome! There is plenty of free parking and everything is always clean and orderly.
I especially like the clearance room, as I can find great bargains that just need minor repairs or are out of season items that I can store!
I am not a huge WalMart fan but the convenience of 24 hours cannot be beat! At the Ephrata location, they will accept my coupons without a huge hassle, too, which saves me time.
The selection is about the same as any other WalMart; they do have some nice clearance sales. The food section is always very clean when I am there, no produce on the floor etc. like our local grocery store.
This store is the worth place in the world to return an item. The staff at the returns counter seem to have an attitude before you even start to explain. They do not have the sale items and try to "upsell" you to a more expensive item instead... once refused to give me a raincheck for a sale item. I later found out it was a clearance sale and they didnt advertise it that way, hard toget assessories later.
The folks at the Bel Air store always seem willing to help and are knowledgeable. The selection is great, even mid-season. I had to return paint once, as Ididnt think it was the color that I had picked out... they re-mixed fresh paint without any question and let me exchange it for a slightly different color. Never once said anything about an additional fee!
This location has a nice selection of sporting items, and if you know what you are looking for, you can watch for a good sale. The staff are generally knowledgeable and are willing to help.
There is a program for frequent shoppers too, but it takes alittle while for the reward to come in the mail.
This salon upset me the last time I went there for a hairstyle. The stylist told me she had just taken pain pills but the manager would not let her go home. So of course my haircut was lacking in skill.
I did ask to talk to the manager on my way out but they said she had left while I was getting my haircut. I left a message saying Iwould appreciate a phone call andnever heard back.
We have only eaten at Wet Willys twice; the first trip the crabs were great but they ran out of stock before we were really done eating. The second time we went, they claimed to be closed for a private event, but there were no signs any where. We think they might have wanted to close early, perhaps out of crabs again? We have not gone back.
This store has great prices and I like to stop at Christmas for last minute gifts. The selection is ok year round but they are great for seasonal stuff like wrap, bows, etc. You really cant stop there with something in mind, though, as there inventory is hit or miss.
This is one of those places where if you see it today and want it, you better buy it that trip!
