If you are looking for orthopedic shoes for older people, I think this is a good store. It has been around for over 30 years. The shoes are somewhat stylish for elderly folks, but their main concern is protecting the feet. The prices are on point and the salesman are nice.
Argent Care
I would not recommend this medical supply store to anyone. Their inventory is very skimpy and they do not carry a lot of stuff you will need. The place is always empty. Sometimes I wonder if it is closed, that is how bad business is. To be a near a hospital, I would think they would have better supplies.
Fehser Florist
Fehser has the best flowers in Blue Island. They are very generous and likes to give free flowers to the local businesses. If you need floral arrangements or nice floral decorations, I would suggest coming here. The prices are reasonable.
Family Pride Foods Of Midlothian Incorporated
I am not too thrilled with this particular grocery store. I think the produce market is too small. Some of the items around the store are a little over priced. The staff is friendly though.
Fairplay Finer Foods
This particular location is neatly arrange had has many food items here that you would find in your more expensive grocery stores. This store is clean and I never have problems locating any items. I usually shop here when they have weekly sales.
Save-A-Lot Food Stores
This grocery store sells many off brand items at a lower price. At this particular store, I always see gnats flying around the produce. The lines are usually long because many folks buy 2 -3 baskets of food on their visits. I would recommend this place if you are in need of cheap, offbrands food. If you dig deep enough, you can name brand items at a reasonable price
Harvey Fresh Market
This is a mini market where you can find cheaper prices than at your regular grocery store. They have a nice produce department. The meat market is located in the back and there you will find many chicken and seafood items. The store is Mexican owned, so there are also supplies of Mexican spices.
Gaelic Park
I have gone to this banquet hall a couple of times for weddings and retirements. The place is very huge, with large roomy halls. I think the food is so-so. I am not sure about the prices as I never had to rent anything out. However, I do see many couples holding their wedding receptions here.
At&t Mobility
I have visited this facility for special occasions and held my 10 year class reunion here. The banquet rooms are very big and decorated with nice chandeliers. The cost is a little pricey, however you will get excellent food with the package. Many people hold their wedding receptions here.
W W Holt Funeral Home
This funeral home caters to the needs of African Americans. They do excellent work on the bodies. Many guests comment on how nicely made up the deceased looks. The staff is very professional and respectful during the funeral ceremony. This funeral home will work within your budget and make your experience as pleasurable as possible, considering the circumstances.
