This quiet, small restaurant is located on part of a strip mall. The food is wonderful and they give you hearty servings of pasta and bread. The wait staff is also nice and make you feel comfortable. The prices are moderate, however, with the amount of food you get, it is well worth it. You will always leave with a doggie bag.
Lawrence's Fisheries Inc
This is my favorite spot when I am downtown on a late night. They specialize in big, fried shrimp. You can request cocktail or hot sauce. I usually get the hot sauce as it gives the shrimp a little kick. The place is packed during the weekends or late night if there is a concert downtown. They are opened 24 hours a day.
Adobo Grill
Adobo Grill is considered an upscale Mexican restaurant. The food is very authentic and you will not find these selections on your typical corner Mexican restaurant. I enjoy the food and the service is great. Also, check out the bar if you want a good Margarita or tequila.
Mambo Grill
This restaurant is tucked away, however it does not go unnoticed. They serve wonderful PanLatin foods from South America. It is a little different than your typical Mexican cuisine. During the summer months, they have a patio for you to come out and enjoy the weather. The inside has a bar. Located downstairs is their special section for large groups. The restaurant speciality drink is the Mojito.
Busy Bee Nursery & Garden Center
Busy Bee is the ideal place if you are ready to plant your flowers for spring. They have rows and rows of different kinds of flowers. They also have many seeds that you can plant. I enjoy going to this store to pick out nice yard statues for my home. The statues can be a little pricey, however the plants are reasonable. Whenever I need decorate my home with flowers or plants, Busy Bee is the place I visit.
The Gift Cottage
This enchanting Gift Cottage store has all the ideal gifts. This place is especially booming during the winter holiday when they have all the ornaments out. You can find anything from cute little figurines, to teddy bears, to tons of scented Yankee Candles. I think the prices are reasonable for these types of items.
Women's Workout World
This workout facility has been around for a few years. They offer many aerobic and weight training classes. The gym has improved over the years by putting in more treadmills, and ellipitic machines. Also, it has expanded so they could add more weight training machines as well. Considering they do not have all the fancy items other big gyms offer, such as a spa, and tennis court, I believe with the price of membership, you get for what you pay for.
Dermatology & Skin Surgery: Stockton Donna MD
I have been going to this dermatology facility for about 5 years. The doctors specialize in skin care, such as acne. However, there is a woman there that does facials and they are absolutely awesome. I feel this is better than a spa, because here, you are told what products and techniques to use to better your skin. The price of the facial is reasonable. They facials usually last about one hour. You also get a mini back massage with it. They facility also offer other services.
Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House
Hugo's Frog Bar specializes in seafood. The prices are very high. Many celebrities eat here and their sister restaurant, Gibson's which is next door. They share the same kitchen, so if you want to order off of Gibson's menu, you can do so. Hugo's can get very crowded and noisy. However, I think the food is delicious. They give you enough food where you are not stuffed.
Platiyo
Platiyo makes new versions of old mexican dishes. The atmosphere is wonderful. Make sure you have a reservation because the wait can be long. The restaurant is snug and cozy. Sometimes there is not enough room for the servers to get by, but they manage. They also have a bar in the back as well as a patio area. I think the prices are reasonable for this side of town.
