If you are new to Denver, or never been to this staple of North Cherry Creek, GO!. They have great food in a relaxed atmosphere that is completely disappearing from N. Cherry Creek with the invasion of all the yuppy restaurants. The Cricket has great food, drinks, pooltables, and a non-smoking eating area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
PROS: Food, Atmosphere, People, Location
CONS: Can get VERY busy on the weekends
For those of us on a budget who still want to look good, visit the Aveda Academy downtown. All the stylists are trained but still working toward more advanced degrees. Haircuts and coloring are very inexpensive and still high quality salon treatment.
PROS: Inexpensive, Great Products, Great Stylists
If you are a Denver bicycle commuter, make sure Turin is on your route. They don't have as large of a selection as some of the other bigger chain stores, but the selection is quality. There is something for everyone. Very quick turn around on bike service, and a nice selection of gear. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED.
PROS: Very knowledgeable staff
Although a bigger local chain bike shop, Bicycle Village has great service and selection on bikes. Every staff member I've received help from has known more about the product then I do. All the recommendations on gear and equipment has been right on. Great place to shop with insane deals in the off season.
PROS: Price, Selection, Service
This place has a great atmosphere described as country meets The Jetson's. There is a great mural of a cowboy in a showdown with an alien. The menu recently changed to a BBQ joint and the food is great. There are two pool tables and good looking people most weekend nights. Check it out.
PROS: Great Atmosphere, Food, Bartenders
Mezcal has a very fun atmosphere, and authentic Mexican food. Happy hour includes $1 tacos that are incredibly good for the late munchies. They also have a very good selection of beer and tequila. As well as Mojitos and Margaritas. Highly Recommended!
PROS: Good Food, Drinks, People
This is the best coffee I have found in town. Forget *bucks. Great neighborhood coffee shop, with incredible pastries and Sunday Benedict breakfasts. Plenty of outdoor seating and all meals are delivered to your table. Fast service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
PROS: Great Coffee, Great Breakfast, Weekday Coffee Happyhour (1/2 off)
This is fantastic Chinese food, it's a little out of the way but well worth the trip. The main restaurant is always busy, but ordering takeout is never more then a 10-15 minute wait. Highly recommended.
PROS: Fast, Inexpensive, Great Food.
CONS: Not much atmosphere
Parisi is a Italian eatery with an attached market serving Gelato. The entrees are inexpensive yet deliciious. The interior is well done and very comfortable. They have a great patio out front. The wine selection is very good and they have bottled beers as well. I highly recommend the wood fired pizzas, made right in front of you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
