We went here to look at laminate flooring, and even had them come out to our house to give us an estimate. We thought when we were at the showroom, the flooring materials were a little overpriced, but agreed to the in-home estimate anyway. When they came out, they wanted to charge us twice as much as we had been quoted by another flooring place. When I tried to tell them we were no longer interested, they called twice trying to convince me to use them. I wouldn't use The Floor Show, unless you are planning on installing the flooring yourself.
We have gotten our taxes done here for the past few years, and have been very happy with them. They offer an option (for an extra cost) where H&R Block will take responsibility if you are audited, and they find anything wrong with your tax filing. If you make an appointment, they'll get you in within ten minutes of your appointment time, otherwise, you may have to wait a little while. Also, the cost of filing is a little pricier than other places, but they do really try to get you back as much as you can.
Desert Breeze Park offers a variety of activities. There is a skate park, a dog park, basketball courts, baseball diamond, playgrounds for big kids and for smaller kids (fenced in), and picnic areas. There is also a community center where you can go swimming. The park is really clean, and the prices for the community center are really cheap.
The Nature Discovery Park at Aliante offers a variety of activities for kids. There is a water play area, with sprinklers, there is a huge dinosaur sandbox, and there are two playgrounds. One for little tots and one for older kids, with a huge slide. The whole playground area is fenced in, so you don't have to worry about your little one running off. There are also soccer fields, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a volleyball area, and a huge waterfall you can relax next to.
We saw this show about a year ago, and had a great time. The price is really good (about $50) because you not only get to see the show, but you also get dinner. You are in medieval times, cheering for your country to win the jousting match, and defeat the evil dragon (unless you are in the dragon section. Then WooHoo Dragon!) Then the feast begins...A Goblet of your favorite beverage, stew and bread, and a whole cornish hen...to be eaten with your hands of course. Complete with pyrotechnics, and some very fancy horseback riding, this is a show the whole family will love!
We used this company when we bought our house last year. The paperwork process was pretty painless. Everything was explained to us, and we were finished pretty quickly. We recently refinanced, and used them again. Our information was already in the computer, so it was even easier the second time around. Plus, we got a discount for using them again. Everyone in the office is really nice, and the place is super-clean.
Although the electronics are overpriced, everything else for sale at Salvation Army is a great deal. The staff is friendly, and will even cut you a deal if you are buying a few things. This place is good for kids clothes, which are barely worn (they usually have a $.25 bin.) The place isnt the cleanest, but you can always wash your stuff when you get home.
If you want to go thrift store shopping, try savers or Salvation Army. Back east, goodwill was dirt cheap. In Vegas, they are as expensive as a retail store. And it isn't just this one. They are all overpriced. You can get a new pair of jeans at Wal-Mart for the same price as the used ones from goodwill. Don't waste your time.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!! We used this company to relocate to Las Vegas in 2003. They had a fancy website, responded to my questions promptly, even showed up on time on the moving day. Then, they handed our stuff over to a third party company to do the delivery, without our knowledge. They showed up two days late with our things, and demanded full payment on site before they would even let us look at our things. The cost of the move was $1500 more when they got to Vegas, then when we left Baltimore. Then, they tried to charge us extra to take the stuff in the apartment, because there were stairs. Luckily, nothing was damaged, but I have done more research on them, and a lot of peoples things turn up broken or missing en route. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THEIVES!!!!!
Before we bought our house, we lived in these apartments. Not only are you close to schools, shopping, parks, and restaurants, but you are also living in one of the greatest apartments ever. The property is very clean, the apartments are big, and Bob, the property manger is the best landlord you'll ever have. He knows every tenant by name, and addresses any problem quickly and efficiently. He really cares about YOU, and about the property. There is a nice pool and hot tub, and a very small "exercise room" on the premises. There is also an extremely small tot lot (not really worth it). The rent is fairly priced, especially for being so close to Summerlin.
