The Mirabelli Community Center is a great place to take the kids. They offer a long list of "classes" for your tots, up to your teens. The classes range from art to sports to dance, and more. The staff is great, the facilities are clean, and the prices are really good.
This swap meet is pretty cool. There are lots of things to see (and buy). Lots of variety. From furniture and home decorating needs to clothing and accessories to beauty care products, and more. You can find almost anything here, and the prices are good.
This shark reef is really cool. You could walk through in ten minutes, or take an hour or two perusing the fish selection. I was surprised at how well it held my two year olds attention. If you are a local, there is a discount, and children under 4 are always free.
Adventuredome is fun, even if it is overpriced. You can get a day pass, and stay for a few hours. The rides are pretty cool, but the lines are long. The food is overpriced, and the place gets really crowded. The do offer mini-golf, and some arcade games (for an extra cost). If you've never been, it's worth checking out. Especially to keep the kids busy one afternoon.
My husband and I got married here, and we were very pleased with the whole experience. We got a package, which included a limo, and our driver (Jack) was the greatest. We renewed our vows the next year, and requested him to be our driver. We have renewed our vows there every year, and have always had a wonderful experience. The price is good, the chapel is very clean, and the staff is really nice. The ministers are a little goofy, but they add a little character to the whole thing. The Chapel we got married in was on the strip, but they got bought out by condo builders, so they are moving, and are in a temporary chapel right now. Check out the website for their new location.
Although the dispatch office isn't do great (poor communication with field workers) I was quite pleased with this company. When our AC went out, they came and looked at it, told me exactly what needed to be done, broke down the estimate into parts and labor, and let me decide if I wanted them to fix it. They fixed it, and the next day it went out again. I called and the same person came back out, saw it was a frion leak, and fixed it for free. They are reasonably priced, as well. That was last year, and it's still working great!
This is a very small store, with a strange selection. A couple car seats, a few strollers, a crib or two, and a bunch of mattresses. But, we did buy a mattress from here, and we are very pleased with it. It was very inexpensive, and the staff is super nice and helpful (not at all pushy).
I had flowers delivered on Father's Day, and was surprised at how prompt Las Vegas Bouquet was. They delivered the flowers within ten minutes of when they said they would. The prices were really good, as well, and the flowers were very fresh (they lived for quite some time). Their website is www.lasvegasbouquet.com/
This is a really fun casino to hang out in. They have tons of slots, a lot of which you can't find anywhere else. The restaurants are outstanding, and priced fairly. The only downside to this casino is how long you have to wait to get a drink if you are playing slots.
The Texas has a big casino, with lots of variety. If you are looking for more family friendly stuff, they have movie theater and a bowling alley. The restaurants are great, and are reasonably priced.
