Acorn Farm Country Store

This store is located on a rural road in a place you wouldn't expect. I happened to pass it one day and stopped by. It's a rustic-type gift shop and they have a lot of unique items.

Helios Gifts & Tea Room

This is the cutest little place. They have a fun gift shop as well as a tea room. You can have lunch there, but you may need reservations as it's not really big, or you can just come to shop.

Loon Lake Lodge

Loon Lake is a unique restaurant that's fun to go to on occasion. They serve all sorts of wild game and different dishes. From rattlesnake to elk, you can satisfy your adventurous side. For the not-so-adventurous (like me) they have steaks, chicken and ribs.

The decor is fun and they have a cool gift shop.

Puccini's Smiling Teeth

My friend always wants to go here for lunch, it's one of her favorites. I think it's just ok. They have a good priced lunch special, but I don't always like the pizza that you can get with it. Their pasta is ok, but now my favorite either. For Italian I'd prefer somewhere else.

China Buffet

This is our new favorite Chinese restaurant! They have a large buffet with a great variety of food. The meat that they use seems to be of a better quality than most Chinese buffets we've been to. The chicken is all white meat.

They also offer takeout.

Falcone Automotive

I actually went to Saab of Fishers because I had a Saab test drive. But the people there treated me so kindly and I really enjoyed the Saab convertible I test drove. Though I wasn't in the market for a car at the time, the way I was treated would make me consider going there in the future.

Beds Beds Beds

We found this store when we first moved to the area and have gone back every time we needed a new mattress. We've sent all our friends there as well. They get new mattresses that can't be sold by major stores for one reason or another. Sometimes the box springs are mismatched, or there's surface damage to the mattress.

We purchased a name brand King Sized mattress and box springs for $400, which is a great deal!

Wooden Key Gift & Card Shop

This is a great Hallmark store. It's much larger than many and has a great selection. The staff is nice and willing to help. I had to place a special order and they were really great.

Kits & Kaboodle

This is a really neat toy store. They have lots of unique toys that you won't see other places. I like that most of the things they carry require imagination, unlike so many of the electronic-type toys offered in major retailers.

The prices are higher, but worth it for special occasions.

Graeme G. Van Matre, D

This clinic came highly recommended by my friend. Dr. Van Matre is really good and knows what he's doing. He makes you feel comfortable and explains things as he goes along. They accept some insurance too.
