The Las Vegas Club is located at the end of Fremont Street. Our room was old and the carpet not so fresh, but I loved the open window in the shower. The best thing about this sports oriented casino and hotel is a donated unique private bat collection Some dude spent his life collecting signed bats from all the greatest players and they are mounted on a wall behind acrylic, but you can spin the bat to see all the signatures. The whole sports theme is very interesting, and gives you something to look at and learn about while eating your late night special in the Upper Deck. After 11:30p.m. you can order a t-bone and egg special for $2.99... and it is very good.
PROS: Unique Sports Memorabilia
CONS: A Little Worn
The Imperial Palace really is a great place to stay on the Strip. You are in the middle and close to so much in walking distance. The best thing to do while at the Palace is to check out their Auto Collections on the fifth garage floor. There were lots of cars to see and you can easily spend a couple of hours really checking them out. There was a nice tribute to Johnny Carson and images of him and his car.
The casino was made extra fun by the dealers dressing up like movie stars and occasionally one of the 'stars' would start singing... making great fun! I also won playing slot machines.
PROS: Happy Go Lucky Atmosphere - Cool Car Collection
As a reward for working extra hard, our company reserved a table at Claim Jumpers for dinner. We sat down almost on time and our waiter was prompt and competent. Everyones portions looked large and delicious. I had the Sea bass, and it was a bit dry. Beers were extremely cold and served in big heavy goblets. The bar offers Wild Turkey and served a generous shot. I have wanted to go back and try the cashew chicken sandwich, have attempted twice, but not been able to walk right in and sit down without a wait. Food must really be good for so many people to wait so long.
PROS: Cold Beer, Complete Menu
CONS: Very Busy Place... Long Wait
A nights stay in the Jacuzzi Suite and day at the Spa couldn't have been a better gift. No problems checking in or finding the room. The Jacuzzi's are in the towers, and my suite was in tower two which happened to overlook the roller coaster on the New York. It was hilarious watching so many people having fun on the roller coaster. When I went down for my massage and spa treatment, something was wrong with their reservations so I rescheduled it for another day. This was a bonus since I live in Las Vegas, because I elected to hang out at their pool for a while and spend time in my room Jacuzzi. When I did go for the day at the spa it was very nice. The staff pleasant and helpful. My masseuse was interesting and competent. Free water and fruit drinks were easily available. Quiet, calm and relaxing. I would definately go back.
PROS: No time limit to enjoy the spa. Free good beverages.
CONS: Can be a long walk to your room.
Walking into The Big Inning Sports Pub is very pleasant. The room is big and open and it is easy to see where you want to sit. There are nice stools at the bar with plenty of room to eat a sandwich and a big open room is full of booths. We have eaten there on two separate occasions and had excellent service.
Menu is typical of a nice Sports Pub... pizza, sandwiches, salads and specials. We went for a Calzone and a Stromboli. Both were fantstik! The Stromboli was prepared closer to being a Calzone than we've ever had, but we must have loved it as our second trip we ordered the exact same menu items.
Wings smelled good and Happy Hour is $1 Bud Light or Miller Light... which is the only negative. We drink Coors Light.
PROS: Roomy, Quality Food, Pleasant Staff
CONS: No Coors Light on tap.
