This is one of those country stores that has some of every gift item you might need. I have purchased greeting cards, candy, bath gift sets, kitchen items, collectibles,--you name it. These are top line gift items that you would find in a regular "city" store. I have also purchased and ordered for delivery several floral arrangements in the past-they have the florist shop in the store. They also have school supplies for all of the local schools. Like I said-if you want it, they probably have it!!
This is a really nice shop with a wide selection of gifts. From pretty glassware to gardener's tools in gifts sets-it's here. They have a WIDE selection of Burt's Bees products-I love this stuff and come here to find it. I also saw baby gifts suitable for shower gifts-nice upper end products. This shop is right next door to a plant nursery so you can get a gift for the baby and the mother, too!
I had to have outpatient surgery done here and was skeptical at first. I had heard good and bad stories about the hospital in the past. However, I must say from my own experiences it was nothing but good all the way. From the pre-check in and tests to end result-no problems. I had several different tests and workups done prior to the surgery and each department was professional and efficient. The outpatient surgery department was friendly, very skilled in their profession, and wonderful to the patients. What ever you needed, they took care of-they were ALL top quality professionals.
Even when the place is busy, you don't have to wait long here. The service is good and thorough. I always get the wash and vaccum and the car comes out looking great. They take the time to clean the inside surfaces well and dry off the outside so there are no streaks as the water dries later. The inside waiting area is spacious and clean with lots of seats. I don't feel uncomfortable waiting for the car. The prices are fair and there are 3 to 4 levels of service. I have never been pressured to add options or upgrade-they have accepted my choices-like that!
Dr. Jones had been checking my vision for many years. In that time I have since moved out of state BUT still make my appointment with him every year when I come to visit my parents. He is so thorough, careful, and takes his time with you. He always explains what he is doing and why-he will answer any questions you ask. There is no pressure to buy your glasses from his office-since I live out of state I take my script with me and get my glasses at home. The vision I get with the glasses is always great so I don't worry that I am not right there in town. I could just settle for an eye doctor here in Texas, but, no thanks-I will continue with Dr. Jones! It's worth the Drive:-)
This use to be a great place for anyone from late 20's to any age-but now is for the 20 -somethings pretty much. It is a small establishment with a lot of smoke so be prepared. Music is jukebox and Karaoke-not the bands on Friday and Saturday like they use to have-go to the one in Copperfield for more of the live music. Ok place to hang but not great!
If you are tired of the poor meat selections in the chain supermarkets, this is THE place to come. First, their hours fit with those of us working until 5:00 or later. Second, their prices are great-as good as, but usually much better than, those of a regular supermarket. And, third the selection is fantastic. You have several cuts to choose from and the meat is so fresh and of good quality. Best of all you can see what you are getting-nothing is hidden in the pre-wrapped package so when you get home it is really bone or fat you have paid for. I don't bother with the Kroger/HEB meat selections any more. I would rather make a side trip here-I save money and am so much more pleased with the taste and quality of the food!
This is a small shop compared to a Dealer's garage but I would take my van here before the company shop!! I had a problem with the air conditioning leaking into the passenger side seating area. After months of wet carpet and no results I took it to this shop. The owner is the mechanic so you will speak directly to the man making the decisions and doing the work. He fixed the problem and I have not had one bit of trouble with it since!! I have also, since, taken in my own parts and had him put them on-brakes, spark plugs,etc.. He is fair with his prices and good with the work!! He will work with you on a problem, explain the situation, and work with you on the solution. I love this place-call early because others like him, too!!
They have recently moved the location of the band stage making it easier to move around in the bar area. But, the place is small and the bands are LOUD so if you were planning on conversation with friends-better do it befor the music starts. The wait staff is attentive and prices fair. the decor is very western bar-lots of animal heads and indian artifacts on the walls so be prepared!! But, it is a good place to hear some good music and have fun!!
I have used Neil's Photography for my yearbook photos for over 15 years. They provide great quality photos and on time service. Whenever we have needed extra photos or short notice work, they have always come through for us-and with a friendly attitude! They have also been the photographer for several Prom's I have worked with, as well. The backdrop selections and final product have always been to notch. My student's use them as well for their Senior pictures and I have seen many of them over the years. The technology used is fantastic for a "small town" studio-they can match what I have seen done in larger corporate settings.
