Although not the best of the outdoor centers that Orange County has to offer, Disney has made an admirable attempt with Downtown Disney.
For children, there are kiosks of toys, The World of Disney, a giant Legos store, and Build-A-Bear, but most of the other shopping and dining are more catered to adults.
On the weekends and during the summer, there are outdoor concerts featuring relatively unknown, but promising, talent. The entertainment has to be family-friendly, per Disney's rules, so families should feel comfortable taking their children.
Another bonus of Downtown Disney is the view of the fireworks from Disneyland, especially on such occasions as New Year's Eve, when the park is too crowded to enjoy.
I love this place! Everyone is so nice and professional. I called early on Mother's Day, which was on a weekend, to ask if I could get in to treat my mother that afternoon. They found space for me, and it was the most wonderful afternoon! The massages are heavenly and the nail salon is superb. We capped the day off with haircuts, and the stylist was not only good at his work, but he was very fun. The prices were also very reasonable.
We had a great day, and I will definitely go back the next time I need a day of relaxation!
They have a good selection and good prices. They are good about walking the family through the entire process, but the biggest complaint that I have is that they seem to be a liitle pushy when it comes to some things. We wanted the funeral held at a specific church, but it wasn't possible. The family agreed to try a different church for the same day, but the funeral director wasn't listening and kept trying to explain why we couldn't get into that specific church on the day we wanted. It took quite a while to get her to be quiet about that church and realize that we didn't care if we couldn't get in and that we would be fine going somewhere else.
I went here to buy books my first semester of college. The staff asked to see my schedule and then gave me the wrong books. They picked out all the books for me. When I went back to exchange them, they bought them back at the used book rate, even though none of the books had been used and it had been less than a week.
To top it all off, they were rude, and when they went to credit my CC with the money, they accidently charged me again for about $400.
I would never go here unless it was absolutely necessary. For a lot of people, it is, so just check and re-check that you have the correct books.
We lived in this complex for one year, and we couldn't wait to get out. The apartment didn't have A/C, which normally isn't such a big deal, but the living room was absolutely unbearable on hot days. The complex has a huge bug problem, including ants, termites, spiders and wasps. We had to watch our dog's food constantly, because it would be devoured by ants otherwise.
Mangement takes forever to respond to requests, and the one time they did actually come in to fix something, they fixed the wrong thing and tracked muddy footprints all over the apartment, which we were then responsible for.
Besides, they charge way too much for rent, especially in light of their shortcomings. It's in a wonderful location (close to shopping centers and the beach) but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
This firm is wonderful! They are very knowledgable and helpful. The have great experience, and their firm is well-known and respected. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an attorney. They really know their stuff and they really care about their clients. If you are looking for a great lawyer, look no further than Weakley, Ratliff, Arendt & McGuire!
I love this museum! It's wonderful for people of all ages. They always have interesting exhibits. The previous reviewer was right - the Christmas trees are definitely a must-see!
There is so much to do here. It really is an amazing place for the entire family!
Coastline has an excellent Distance Learning program that offers a wide array of classes. You can take almost every class you need for your AA just by Distance Learning.
It's not the best community college in Orange County, but it blows the competition out of the water with its DL program.
This is my favorite shelter. We adopted our cat from here, and I was so impressed with it when we went. True, prices can be a little higher, but not by much. The grounds are clean and they don't stink at all. It's actually a fun place to take kids to, because not only do they have cats and dogs, but also ducks and pigs.
I love that this is a no-kill shelter.
We have had bad experiences with this shelter. We adopted our dog through them, and went back to ask a question. The staff was rude. While we were there, another woman came in because the dog she adopted was not suitable for her home. Although this isn't an ideal situation, the staff was extremely rude to her. It was completely unnecessary. The clinc attatched to the shelter is not very good, either. I had no choice but to take my dog there to be neutered, as it was their requirement, so that they made sure it was done. There are much better clinics for much better prices in Orange County.
