But it's not that kind of party. Those who make a living go here for the good stuff to make their blue ribbon plants/flowers grow. This is a serious business ans if you want to have the prize azaleas, you need to be here. The best thing here (to me) are the aeroponics, great for growing.
These people know their stuff
They don't sell only futons here. I was surprised while shopping for a futon to find some great bedroom suites. As a matter of fact, there's this mahoghany set that I plan on getting for my house next year. I never would have found it if I hadn't been here. The prices arent' rock bottom, but you can get some good deals here. Give it a chance.
They allowed someone else to get an apartment under my name without my permission. I had to go there to get some information about it and the lady there told me alot of not too nice stuff (she no longer works there). It was a nice building, but they had break-ins in the garage that no one was told about . Also, you could get in accidents going into or out of the garage because of the way the driveways are set up. It's on a VERY narrow street that should really be a one way.
CONS: Bad management
I am a movie buff and go to the movies often. I first went this movie theatre for a movie that was not playing in many places. There is a restaurant (a REAL one) that you can eat in before or after seeing your movie. You can actually pick where you want to sit when you buy your tickets. The seats are noticably bigger and more comfortable than any other theatre I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot)
When I tell you that their popcorn is the best ever, I am not kidding. It's fresh, perfectly done, with just the right amount of butter and salt.
PROS: Best movie theatre experience you can have
Doggy Wonderland is a better name. You can't even imagine a better place. Basically it's a dog designed life sized playground. For those that can't stand to be away from their pups, they have a doggy webcam so you can watch your pup romp from your comp. They have a great adoption program, too (my pup's a rescue dog)! So if you're looking for a great companion, check here first.
There are actually a lot of bead stores in Los Angeles. This is one of the better ones. They dont' have just plastic inferior beads, they carry sterling and gold chain, semi-precious, glass, pearl and rhinestone beads. The prices are great, too
CONS: Only open Wednesday - Saturday
This place is pretty old school and it shows. That's not a bad thing. If you're going to deal with comics, it's best to deal with people that can tell you that Jean Grey used to be Dark Phoenix (and Marvel Girl, Phoenix and Black Queen ). They're on top of it all.
I wandered in here one day after getting my son's hair cut at Yellow Balloon. Unfortunately, they have only girls clothes. If I had a girl I'd definitely shop here, the clothes are adorable. There's a lot of unique stuff, which I'm big on. Not alot of name brands that you'll know, but very good quality.
CONS: Parking can be a bear on Ventura
like my best friend does, go here. They have it all, from the tame to the wild. Personal items/toys to use alone or with a friend, magazines, clothing, etc.
You can also buy, rent or exchange XXX movies.
This is a place to sell your last season clothes. They look at your stuff, separate the wheat from the chaff and then tell you what they will take and what they won't. Then you can decide to take 35% cash or 50% exchange, meaning that you can look around the store for something else to get in the amount of your credit. You can also come back if you dont' find something that day.
CONS: Sometimes there is a long wait to be seen
