It's abook store. It's a toy store. It's an art exhobit. No,it's all 3. It's a great place for parents to take their children because it appeals to all of their senses.
when I first walked in with my best friend and my son, I was overwhelmed. I found so many thins I wanted to get for him that I had to calm myself down, not him! If you want to facilitate your child's learning, they have many thigns here that not only you will love, but your child will as well.
They also have things here for all budgets, so dont' be scared of the location.
Oprah even calls this one of her famous "favorites", need I say more?
Batting cage, miniature gold, a game arcade..there's a lot to do here. If you've run out of things to do in Los Angeles, then you haven't been here yet. You can go with a group and everyone can find soemthign to maek them happy.
They even through parties for a reasonable price. The arcade games are very modern, unlike some places. They even have the dance one that you jump all around to.
The prices here are great, they even have early bird specials (50% off for the mini golf). If you're hungry, they've got plenty to eat as well. You can really make a night of things here, and it's also 2 minutes (literally) from the Sherman Oaks galleria.
For all of us with boys, we now how hard it is to find great looking stuff for them. I don't know where I will get great looking clothes for him when he outgrows this store.
When you're looking for that special present, this is the place to go.
CONS: Could be pricey for some; its in Malibu
I never had high opinions of realtors before meeting him. Now, I have a whole new respect for the profession.
Mr. Sevanian is very knowledgeable about his work and takes care of you from beginning to end. His reputation speaks for itself and he is the go to guy for not onlly his home area of Santa Clarita, but Los Angeles as well. He can assist from buying to selling and back.
PROS: Very hands on and self-motivated
My son eats organic food. I'm trying to bring him up better than me, LOL! But I was surprised that I could get a good BLT here along with his chicken tenders and shirley temple. I hate to admite it, but organic food IS good. I dont' get to eat here as much as I'd like to, but when we get to, it's a nice change for me. They also introduced me to the Ezekiel bread, which was a nice surprise.
CONS: slightly expensive, but it's organice so it's worth it
I went here to do an amateur contest. They made us change in this little alcove that was the nastiest thing I've ever seen. It must nothave been cleaned sicne they opened Lord knows how many years ago. A bum wouldnt want to go in there, and thank God I got there early, because I had a clean (well, relatively)place to put my stuff. The contest was put together all wrong and took forever. Anyway, I won 2nd place and they didn't pay ANY of us. They made up some excuse that we didnt' have enough girls, but that was BS because we had 6 girls.
CONS: Owners/managment stinks; they rip you off; DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY
I had to go meet my uncle here for a few minutes. I called him on the cell phone to come out, but he didn't get any service so I had to go inside. They let me in for free because they thought I was auditioning-LOL! I found him quickly and he asked me if I wanted to something to drink since it was hot out. We ordered a Red Bull and a water. The drinks were $7! I can go down the street to the gas station for the same drink for $4, and not worry about a tip.
The girls were not all that to look at in my opinion, but the one pretty girl seemed to be very busy. Diamond I think her name was. Maybe it was an off night, he goes here a lot.
CONS: drink prices, not a lot of pretty girls
He did my liposuction and rhinoplasty. I am very happy with my results. My only complaint is that he is SO busy, you have to wait to be seen. But every time I look in the mirror, I am SO pleased.
When I saw him the first time, he told me in less than a minute what I wanted to do-and he was right.
PROS: caring nurse and pre/post op staff
CONS: very busy office
Italian anything is my downfall and when it comes to the food, OMG! All I Can say about this place is that their garlic knots are freakin' addicting. I can sit down with those, their butter and their marinara sauce and be happy.
Their pizza is wonderful, too. Half the time when my friend visits, we eat here or order to pick up. We're both pizza fiends and this place hits the spot.
My son loves their ravioli with meat sauce. Finally a place I don't have to worry about his finishing his food. I never have anything to put in a doggie bag for him.
The portions are generous and the food is worth every penny.
PROS: You can't go wrong with much in this place.
CONS: you can get fat from this place...LOL!
Ok, when I first moved here 5 years ago, I saw the long longs for the hot dogs here. And then I read the "Best Of" every year and there s Pink's. Ok, so I stood in the long *ssed line and finally got my hands on 2 (just in case it was that good-I wasn't about to stand in line again). I got plain ones, I wanted to taste the dog itself, nto the chili, sauerkraut or anything else.
It was a freakin' HOT DOG. I've stood in line in NYC gladly for Gray's Papaya. In that "Fools Rush In" movie with Selma Hayek, you can see why she flew it in for that Friends dude. Not these. I dont' get it. And you can even end up having your car parked to get one, the parking here STINKS!!! It's so bad that they had to out up signs to tell you not to park your car right in front where it would make sense to because there is no parking there most of the time. Then their shoebox of a parking lot stinks and you can't park by the flower shop next to it, either.
Go to Weinerschneitzel, it's the same thing and you can stay in your car.
CONS: NO HOT DOG IN L.A. IS WORTH AN HOUR OR MORE WAIT
