George Washington High School
George Washington High School houses a huge campus, the radius of two blocks. Washington earns high marks for math, and also college preparatory courses. The football team is very good, along with the baseball team if your into sports. While, there is plenty of activities around school throughout the year, to keep your kids not only academically sound, but also sane from all the stress of going to school. The budget cuts have hurt a bit, but Washington continues its long tradition of excellence.
Roto Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service
Roto Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service did a decent job for us, although our water was out for a while longer then expected. There not very cheap, however they do a good job, and I haven't had a problem with my drain since they came out. Not a company I would use for my primary plumbing needs due to price, however if you can afford it, they do a very good job.
Lin Peter Y Md
Peter Lin is a very knowledgeable doctor. He takes a lot of time looking at your aliments, and offers great insight into your problem. There is a bit of a wait to get seen, but it's worth the wait to get so much attention to detail. He's one of the nicer doctors out there, and recommended if you don't mind the lack of parking in the area.
Office Team
They offer a wide variety of employment mostly administrative work. They are quite professional with there service, and great in terms of payout, and offer management temporary jobs. They are can be reached not just by phone, but through email, thus they do offer a good range of communication, if a problem does arise. One of the better employment agencies around.
Skyline College
Skyline College located at a high point of the city, offers a wide range of degrees, and certificates. The school seems a bit on the small side, however makes it up with its tremendous access to technology, and resources. The library is very well put together, and students seem to mind there own business. The bookstore is very cramped, and needs to be shifted to another area of the campus, however for what your paying for, Skyline offers probably the best mix of technology, and education in one. Parking also doesn't seem to be a major problem.
City College of San Francisco
City College of San Francisco is the second largest junior college in America. They offer a wide range of classes, although they have been cut back due to the budget cuts. The school needs a make over, however they are making strides such as the increase in flow of traffic in and out of the parking lot. Classes fill up extremely quick, and there is a long wait for certain programs. Professors are for the most part adequate, however its just as any other school, a luck of the draw. I highly recommend there on line classes, if your short on time due to work, or family, or just planning to take an extended absence.
College Of San Mateo
College of San Mateo is a very large campus for a community college, and offers a variety of majors, and certificates. There a starting point to transferring to a four year college, or just getting more work experience. Some professors offer a lot of hands on education, however some just seem to just not offer much, besides a robotic teaching style, without any recourse for students needs. As with any school, learn about the teaching staff, to pick out the bad apples from the good ones. The value that you receive here is great, however just be careful who you give your educational dollars to while you learn.
St Ignatius Clg Preparatory
Saint Ignatius College Preparatory School offers a tremendous amount of academics, athletics, and resources, and peers for a high school. With budget costs abound in public schools, if you have the money to pay UC like prices for a high school, then Saint Ignatius would be a top choice. It's located in a fairly safe neighborhood, and public transportation is accessible for those parents who can't pick or drop off there kids.
Roto Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service
Roto Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service offers very professional service, and great delivery of there services. I had a plumbing problem, and needed to get it plunged fast due to the sewers right below. Roto Rooter set up the service fairly fast, and came promptly. There prices are a bit expensive, however for the service that they do, it's money well spent.
Banana Island
This restaurant located within the plaza, is a very good place to take your family and dine with a variety of Asian style dishes. The place has a certain mood to it, and a very friendly staff. The place is usually quite full, but it's worth the wait to be seated, especially for the curry dishes. Everything doesn't seem rushed, and just feels like a place you can relax and dine.
