I love shopping in this market. You can get all you need from produce, vegatables, fruits, to meats, and seafood. They have several little stores in there so you have plenty to choose from. It is great especially since the nearest supermarket is quite a walk away. The only problem with the market are its hours. Monday thur Friday they close at 6 and on sat they are open only 11-2. Usually by the time I get home its 6 so it always closing as I try to get it.
Orchard Cleaners and Laundromat is your basic laundromat. It is bigger and cleaner then the other ones in the nieghborhood. They have late hours so its perfect if you want to get your laundry done after work. I wouldn't recommend going on the weekend, because you will be fighting the crowd. They have drop of service if you are looking to save yourself time and have them do your laundry. From what I can see the people there are very professional and do a good job.
Ludlow Garage is a good mechanic shop for any problems you might have with your car. The only problem with them is that they can get very busy and it might take a while before you can get your car back. The gargage is always clean and they take very good care of your car.
Ludlow Express has been in business for years. It is the place to go from cheap tailoring. For a few bucks you can get your pants hemed. The people in there know what they are doing and are fairly quick. You can drop your clothing in the morning and be able to get them back at the end of the day. The can fix almost anything. If you jacket is a little worn and u need to fix the threads they will do it for you no problem.
Evolution is located right by Soho, so if you are in the neighborhood shopping you must stop by. It is a very unique store that I have just run across. They sell stuffed animals such as squirels, chickem, mouse, and cats), skulls (they have a huge shark jaw skeleton in the window), bugs, and seashells. That is just the begining of some of the stuff that have.
Something In Blue is a run by a couple for wedding photography. One of my friends used them for there wedding photos and it came back wonderful. They did a beautiful job and were very professional. I don't think I have seen better pictures. They came away with over 1000 pictures. I would definitly use them for my wedding.
Something Else is a good record album store. The staff is pretty friendly and you can easily spend the whole day there looking for stuff. They have a good selection of records and the prices are decent. Besides records they also have a small section for vintage clothing. This place is great if you are looking for those classic records.
The transit is a great store in the village that sells clothing and sneakers. The store is pretty big and is packed with name brands such as north face, puma, nike, etc. The last time I went they were having a great sale on puma sneakers (pricing ranging from $19-$50). They also sell winter coats and bag packs.
I am so glad that I signed up with the Princeton Review. It really helped me with my SAT scores. You have to take a practice test and the put in you a class with people that scored the same as you so that you at the same level. The teachers are great and you can tell they know what they are talking about. They give you all the materials and have great tips on scoring a high score with the SAT. The only complaint is the price. It will definite cost alot but I found it to be well worth it.
This is a great zoo to visit. There are tons of stuff to see and I spent alot of it in amazement. Most of the animals were not really caged in. They have plenty of open space. Peacocks and turtles walk around. They even have a balloon ride but you have to get your tickets early to get the ride. I arrive around 2:00pm and the tickets for the balloon ride were already sold out for the day. Definitly must go see the lion and tiger feeding!
