Men's Shop in Kamuela is very expensive. They sell very nice men's clothing that include swimwear, t-shirts, jackets, shorts, pants, jeans and other men's accessories. They have quality clothing but their prices are very high and not really competitive.
The Upcountry Connection Gallery displays a blend of art that encompasses images of past and present, such as dancers, ancient warriors and paniolos. The Kamuela Museum has royal Hawaiian treasures from Iolani Palace, ancient Hawaiian artifacts and art objects from around the world. If you are interested in Hawaiian culture and history, then this museum has a lot to offer. Note that the museum is located right off the Kawaihae Road and their is no parking lot in front of the museum. Admission rates are very affordable for children and adults.
We come to the Parker Ranch Shopping Center to shop at Foodland and we go to Supercuts to get our hair cut. They also have a few other specialty gift stores including the Parker Ranch Store (they sell Western wear) and Giggles (they sell children's clothing and gifts) that are nice to browse around. Also located here is a Blockbuster and a Kentucky Fried Chicken. This convenient shopping center has 2 banks, 1 credit union, 1 clinic, 1 health food store and a post office and small art gallery nearby within walking distance.
This private school has undergone many changes in recent years. They added a middle school a few years ago and are planning to add an elementary school. They have a great academic program and great teachers. This private school along with HPA (Hawaii Preparatory Academy) serves the Waimea community. The school gets major funding from the Parker Ranch Foundation Trust.
