Well at least that's the line they got us in the door with. Along with, liquidation sale, items must be removed from store within 48 hours. When we did buy something at one of there special sales - nothing was in stock. We were told we had to wait 3 weeks for a table and chairs we purchased - it was over 5. Also, hard to believe but it didn't come from North Carolina - it came from California. We're still waiting on a living room set - they told us eight weeks. It's been six so far but other buyers told us we may be waiting 10 weeks. The prices seemed fair and the staff friendly but buyer beware. Don't fall for those one day sales like we did - I'm sure it'll still be there the next day and they're still looking to make a sale. On the upside - the furniture is high quality.
PROS: High Quality
CONS: Promises made - Promises broken
Well I have to say it's more than just the shrimp. Our family just returned from dining here tonight. The second time in three weeks. On weekends they have an all you can eat buffett for $25.95 for adults. Children under 4 are free. They also have a seperate menu if you do not wish to purchase the buffett. The food speaks for itself. Fried oysters, fresh fried shrimp, fried fish, fried clams, steamed shrimp, fried crabcakes, etc. Also, you can't beat the view - it's right on the water. Be sure to go when the buffett starts or you may be waiting for awhile.
Wow - who knew how amazing this little hardware store would be. This is only minutes from us but we didn't shop here first thinking that this store wouldn't have what we needed so we drove to Home Depot 35 minutes away - BIG MISTAKE! After running back out to finish up a project we stopped here not only did they have what we needed they also had most of the items that we purchased at Home Depot at a cheaper price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wide range of products at a very reasonable price.
This place could not possibly hold anymore books. This place is packed to the max. You'll find books of every genre inside. You'll want to bring in books to get credit before you buy. Then you're able to take half credit and half cash sale to purchase a book. If a book is $6.00, she'll take 3 off your credit and then you pay 3 plus the tax on the $6. Keep your credit slip though for next time. Otherwise, books are way overpriced for used books. I know she needs to make a living but $6 for a used paperback is a little steep. Don't get me wrong, I love this place but make sure you have credit here.
This is one of our family's favorites. The dinosaurs and gems are located here. (Along with the huge elephant that is displayed in the rotunda.) A few hands on activities for the kids, would love to see more. The price is great - free. A lot of walking involved if you were not able to park close. Rest assured there's plenty of seating inside. The food court in here is not to be missed. Very good quality food but as with everything in DC a little pricey.
Family Owned and Operated
If you're looking for a personal touch when you're getting you're taxes done this is the place. No cold shoulder here like H & R Block. And they don't disappear on April 16th. This is a year round tax service for all your accounting needs. Rates are very fair compared with other tax preparers.
Haven't been here in awhile but always had great family fun when we went. Beaches/Swimming/Boating/Fishing/Camping, you name it they have it. All on Smith Moutain Lake. You can not beat the peacefulness you will feel while you're here. Great places everywhere for a picnic. We usually went as a church group and had plenty of places for the kids to play. Some activities do have a charge associated with them. Bring cash with you!
This is the church my Parents attend. We visit here when we are home on leave. The people are very friendly and are there for you to call on when you need them. They do not have big attendance here as far as the numbers go but their hearts are definately in the right place. You'll love bringing your family here for a time of worship and praise. This is truely a good COUNTRY church.
Now this is a hair cut place that the whole family visits. This is the only place my 4 yr old will sit still for a haircut. They know the latest styles and always make suggestions if I don't have a clue as to what I would like done. Waiting area is not very large. Sometimes this place is very busy so may want to go at an off peak time. Prices are reasonable here.
When our car was rear-ended last year, we took it to Cave's for repair. It did take them awhile to do all the needed body work, get the parts, and then paint it but it was more than worth it. The car looked like brand new. We were very impressed with their craftsmanship and have told others about them. I can't say anything about the price because the other guys' insurance covered the expenses. Nothing but praise here. Also, located outside of Andrews AFB.
