i happen to find them in the yellow pages under the bakery listings. and i am real glad i stumbbled upon them. they specialize in no sugar added deserts which is awesome. my father is diabetic and of course he should not be eating sugar. so we decided to go and see them one year to order a cake for his birthday. the cake was so delicious, you cannot even tell that they don't add sugar. his birthday is next month and we are definitely getting a cake and some other deserts from them.
PROS: no sugar added deserts
i happen to walk into this place one day after passing it on the street so many times. this place is great. they are labeled a bakery but they also have the best tasting homemade pizza and they also have a nice variety of soups. they also do wedding cakes as well as cakes for all other occasions. i love their chocolate chip cookies. they are excellent. they are open seven days a week in case you happen to have a craving for them, because once you try them you definitely will return.
PROS: open seven days a week
i had seen this commercial on tv and we happen to be passing by it so we decided to stop. this place is awesome. my kids were in heaven. they have every kind of candy. and their prices are resonable. you can buy individual pieces or you can buy by the pound. the people who work there do speak spanish and they are very friendly. i really like the way it looks inside, it is so cool. my children loved it and i know that yours would too.
PROS: resonable prices
i love this place. i go to alot of different thrift stores and i think that this one has to be one fo my favorites. i have been going here for years. everytime i go i find a great deal. i like the fact that everytime i go they have somekind of half price sale or two for one sale. the best thing, which is the main reason why i shop the thrift stores at all is because of the huge selection of books for sale. i can't see myself going to borders and paying $26 for a book that i can find there for $1. and trust me i have found a bunch of books from the bestsellers list on down to oprah's book club. it is great. they also have a huge variety of clothing for sale and most of it is name brand stuff.
PROS: always have sales
this place has the best tasting ice cream around. we stopped in on our way home one time. in the phone book it said that they were rated finest peach ice cream so i decided to have that. i can't even explain to you how great it was because it was that good. i have never had peach ice cream before so i was in heaven. my husband had a fresh fruit sorbets which i tasted and it was so fresh. the best thing is that if i ever have a craving for it and can't drive there, because it is way out of my way, they ship nationwide. thank god for that.
PROS: gold medal winner
CONS: kind of far
after a night of clubbing my husband and i decided to stay at the ramada in on lakeshore drive. we had always passed it up on our way home from our outtings and decided to stop there and stay the night. they have free parking which is a double plus. they also have a cafe in the hotel called the lakeshore cafe where we stopped to have something to eat before we went to our room. after that we went to the indoor lounge called the rendezvous lounge and had a nightcap before going to our room. it was not real cheap but it was alot of fun. our room was real nice and clean. i will definitely be going there again.
PROS: indoor cafe and lounge
CONS: a bit pricey
i have been wanting to go here forever. the kids had been bugging my husband and i so we finally decided to go. best thing we ever did. if you have coupons for discount entrance please use them. we had gotten some coupons in the mail which was the main reason we finally decided to go. the tournament was great, it kept the kids quiet the whole time. you really feel like you are back in the days. it was great. the kids really liked the fact that when they serve you your food you don't get any utensils because supposedly they weren't invented yet so they got to eat with their hands and be messy.
the food was really good i don't think that i will ever forget this.
PROS: if you have coupons use them
my husband and i wanted to do something different for our anniversary. we found a babysitter and decided to spend the night at the radisson. best thing we ever did. our room was so nice and it smelled so good. everything was so clean. we even ordered room service, we felt so pampered. it was a bit pricey but worth every penny. it was our best get away yet. we will be going back there real soon.
PROS: very nice rooms
CONS: very pricey
this place is great. my sons teeball team needed new shirts for the new season and i looked in the phone book and saw that they send out a free catalog if you need one. so i gave them a call and broke down basically what i would be needing and they were very friendly. they told me that it would be best if i came in so that way i could see what they had to offer because we needed new caps and shirts. they are very knowlegable and they have decent prices. the best thing is that they have a rush service available if needed which is great if you are in a jam.
PROS: rush service available
this place is great. i called them because my husband is a cookie monster, he loves them. and my sister in law said that she had them deliver an arrangement of cookies to her husband for valentines day one year so i decided to give them a call this valentines day. i'm so glad i did. they deliver and have cookie arrangements for any occation. the best thing about them is that they have nationwide shipping which is great because i live in indiana and they are kind of out of my way. i decided on a cookie cake shaped like a heart. when it was delivered to my door my husband was speechless.
PROS: nation wide shipping
