Painted Desert Golf Club
This is a great course to play. The greens are well kept, people are very friendly, and the proshop is well organized and well stocked. The prices are very reasonable especially if you are local or playing during the warmer months. The recently reseeded and the winter rye is really lush. One of my favorite aspects is the natural grass driving range.
Diamond Circle Melodrama
This was one of the things we did when we were on vacation last summer. It was so nice to be able to take the whole family and not have to worry that there would be inappropriate language or content. They really get the audience involved in the show. I imagine this is exactly what it would have been like to watch a melodrama 100 years ago. The cast was great; very friendly and quite talented. We had a great time and will definitely go back if we are ever in the area again.
Star Nursery Inc
This is where we bought all of our plants when we landscaped our new home. We were able to find everything we needed and the prices were very competitive. The best part was how knowledgeable the employees were. The helped us to get just the right look that we wanted and I don't think we have lost even one of the plants that they sold us
Boot Barn
We had to buy a pair of riding boots for my 12 year old daughter last year and I had no idea what we should be looking for other than the name brand that the riding instructor told us to get. The sales people were very helpful at Boot Barn. They spent lots of time helping us until we found just the right boot with enough room to grow so that we wouldn't have to buy another pair anytime soon. As far as prices, I think they are comprable with any of the other stores that sell name brand riding gear. We will definitely be back.

My kids love this store and the prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is that there is so much merchandise squeezed onto the racks that it is hard to find the right size and style that you are looking for. They stock very trendy styles which the kids love and the quality seems okay but not great. The salespeople were friendly but not particularly helpful as they were too busy stocking shelves.
Home Goods
I stumbled onto this store about a year ago and love it. They carry everything for your home from large area rugs to unusual food gift items. The prices are those of a discount store and as far as I know all of their products are first quality. This is the first place I hit when I need to buy a gift but have no idea what to get. My best find there so far was a large (8 ft X 4 ft) natural fiber area rug for my entryway for only $70.00
Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits
My husband just found this store about a year ago. The are very friendly and knowledgable about their products. They have weekly wine tasting events and will even email me to remind me. The prices are much cheaper than any place else I shop. The one draw back is that they are in a pretty busy shopping center and it can sometimes be hard to find a parking place. My husband also likes the fact that they have a small humidor and carry his favorite cigars.
Lee's Discount Liquor
This is a family owned business and they take a lot of pride in their ownership. Everybody is always very friendly and helpful in the store and they never complain about having to stop what they are doing to help a customer. It's easy to access and parking is never a problem. While there prices are probably only slightly cheaper than some of the big discount chain stores, they shopping experience is much more enjoyable.
Bootlegger Bistro
They serve great high end Italian food. We've been there in a large group as well as just my husband and myself and the service was always great. Very nice selection of wines as well as a pretty extensive menu. The prices are considerably higher than some of the chain Italian restaurants, but the quality of food is head and shoulders above them as well. The osso bucco is excellent!!
Verrazano Pizza
They have great pizza and chicken wings here. Much better than some of the chain restaurants that don't always use the quality ingredients like Verrazano does. I think this is a family run business and they know how to treat their customers. They are fast and effecient and their prices are very reasonable. I also like that they do home delivery in my area.
