Johnny Max has a really great selection of sporting goods and related products. They are the first place in St. Louis to check for hard to find sporting items. Their prices are fair. The locations are convienent. The staff seems to be very knowledgable about all of their products. Great place to shop.
The Missouri Botanical Gardens is a great place to stop if you are visiting in St. Louis...or if you are looking for a nice quiet place to spend an afternoon. The exhibits are beautiful and they have some rare plants and flowers that you normally do not see. They also have a great fountain area for the kids to play in during the summer time. Admission is a very fair price!
Our family loves going to the Butterfly House. It is simply breathtaking. There is a lot for the kids to do there aside from the actual butterflies. There is a great carousel right there that is amazing. There are several playgrounds and some historical buildings. Make sure to check for coupons. There are usually buy on get one free coupons available in various places.
This is like a imaginary place - you almost can't believe it is real while you are there because it is so wacky! It is really a playground for all ages - but I am 32 and just love it. They also have a wide vaiety of places to just sit back and enjoy company and a drink. They have exhibits that run from time to time that are also worth seeing! Love it!
This is such a great outdoor theater. The shows are always top notch and well performed. They have a wide variety of children's shows throughout the year which is a plus. You are also allowed to bring your own food and drinks in which is perfect for a family outing! The atmosphere is just breathtaking!
My entire family loves the St. Louis Art Museum. They have a wide variety of exhibits and their special exhibits are always very interesting and worth the admission price. They are also very friendly to people with young children - and accept them as regular museum goers - which is very important when you are trying to expose your children to the arts.
The other review for this hospital should have been for that particular doctor. The actual hospital is just great. It is my ER of choice. The ER is way less busy than many other hospitals in St. Louis - which means you can get in and out much faster. The doctors and staff seem very friendly and knowledgable. The hospital has nice waiting areas as well. Very clean.
My wife had all three of our children at St. John's Mercy Medical Center - and they are top notch in that area! The entire staff that is invovled with the birth of your child is wonderful. They are attentive to family needs. The delivery rooms are spacious and have room for guests - if wanted. The rooms that the mother and child get to stay in after the birth are like mini-apartments! Awesome!
The St. Louis zoo is an amazing zoo and it is free. You just can't beat it. The exhibits are amazing - especially the Penguin houses. Liek nothing I have ever seen before. The grounds are kept especially clean as well as the bathrooms. If you are going for the day - make sure to look at the all day pass - you get a great deal on the things that they do charge for such as the children's zoo and train, etc.
My dad is in and out of this hospital all of the time with his heart problems. The staff and doctors here are great. The nurses seem to be on top of everything...albeit very busy. The waiting rooms are sufficient and the location of the hospital is very convienent. This hospital has some of the best heart surgeons in the nation.
