When I booked the musicians, the customer service at Elan was very good. I was told that most of their people come from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. While I didn't actually get a chance to chat with the musicians at the wedding, they did sound like they were up to Peabody standards. I was very pleased with the music they provided for both my ceremony and cocktial hour. Their prices were comparable to other duo/trios in the DC area. Great job!
While this store is sometimes hit or miss, 9 times out of 10, I am able to find a neat gift for someone, whether it's just the gift wrap itself or something like a picture frame or kitchen appliance. They have such a wide variety of things to choose from! I find it a great place to pick up marked down holiday decorations, bedding, bathroom accessories, and kitchen items. You can definitely find a great deal!
The customer service here is excellent for purchasing a suit. They are very one-on-one with the customer and very knowledgeable about their selections. When we were there to purchase just a business suit, they did try at the end for the hard sell in trying to get us to buy extra accessories such as shirts and ties, but that is their job, so... My husband has also rented several tuxedos from them with much success. Overall, a good experience...
PROS: Broad Selection, Reasonable Prices
CONS: Sometimes try to Over-sell
While they are definitely a little more expensive than some places, I had a wonderful experience at the Red Door salon. I went there for hair and makeup for my wedding along with my whole bridal party. I had been once before for a hair and makeup trial and knew that they were going to do a wonderful job for me. I was, however, super impressed with what they did for my bridal party as they all looked fantastic with both hair and makeup. My only con is that they did end up running a bit behind schedule for us for makeup, but we had built in some extra time so it all worked out. Highly recommend!
I found this place through a coworker. It's in the Kentlands shopping area and is in a neat walk-up townhouse. The first floor is the lobby and shop area with a spa downstairs and the actual salon upstairs. I was warmly greeted in the lobby and taken upstairs for my haircut. The shampoo chairs are very neat with built in massagers and they have even strategically placed a TV so you can watch it while you're getting your haircut. My stylist followed my instructions exactly and had me out within 45 minutes which is fast for me given that most places usually take a lot longer. I was very satisfied!
I have taken several generations of pets to Wheaton Animal Hospital with great success. The lobby is divided into two different sides so cats and dogs can be separate and comfortable if need be. While they sometimes get very busy with all different kinds of animals, the staff is always extremely friendly! One of our previous pets was very ill and required many visits to the vet. They were extremely tender to her and went above and beyond on several occasions fitting her in outside of appointed times. All in all, I highly recommend!
Niwano Hana has excellent sushi, perhaps the best in Rockville. It is always a pleasure to walk in and be greeted with a warm hello at the door. We always start with an appetizer such as the tofu steaks or vegetable tempura, both of which are wonderful. From there, your order of sushi comes with miso soup and salad with an amazing ginger dressing. They have a wide variety of excellent sushi to choose from at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend!
