This is one of the newer locations of Fitness First, but it hasn't been renovated in awhile. This is a great gym for the monthly fee. They have lots of different gym equipment to choose from. It does get crowded after work, but the wait is never that long. Nothing too fancy, but great for a basic workout!
This is one of the smaller locations of Fitness First. However, they do still have all of the basic gym equipment provided at other locations. This one seems to get less crowded than say Rockville or Bethesda in the evening which makes it preferable. The staff are friendly and the equipment is in good shape. Great value for the money!
We worked with one of the realtors from this office (not Cathy) looking at properties around Leisure World. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and provided us with a lot of information. She was also helpful in showing us around to various properties we were interested in seeing. However, she was not very enthusiastic and seemed kind of bored the whole time. In other words, she did her job, but wasn't very personable. Not sure if I'd use this particular agent again.
This store has a tremendous selection of yarn for both knitting and crocheting as well as a wide assortment of crochet hooks and knitting needles. They also have a variety of patterns to choose from. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable and can give you advice and help you find what you are looking for. I think they also can help with sewing projects, too, but I've only shopped there for yarn and patterns. Great selection!
This craft store has more specialized crafting products! They have an enormous selection of specialized papers for artists including paper for drawing, scrapbooking, painting, etc. They also have more specialized tools for your crafting needs. It's an older store, but don't let that fool you, it's great for serious artists. If you want a broader range of more general supplies, try one of the bigger craft stores down the Pike.
This is a great store for crafting supplies. I've gotten lots of yarn, patterns, and crochet hooks for various projects. I also have found lots of neat things for parties, gifts, wedding planning, etc. They have a wide selection of products for all different hobbies and even offer some introductory classes to show you how to do some projects! Fun craft store!
This store has a little bit of everything. For the true crafting expert, they may not have all of the specialized items you need, but they definitely carry all of the basics for everything from knitting/crocheting to painting, etc. Plus, they often send you coupons in the mail for 40% off on an item. Great deals and so worth it!
They have an overall great selection of pet supplies! I am biased towards cats, but they have a phenomenal selection of dog specific toys, leashed, accessories, and food. For cats, they have a similar selection including great cat furniture to choose from. The staff is very friendly and tries really hard to answer your questions, though they may not always know the answers.
This is one of the few stores around devoted solely to cats! I'm just not sure if it's still in business. If it is, it's very fun as there are some resident cats there, of course. They also have cat-specific decorations and cat-specific toys and supplies - things you'd never dream existed. It's a very fun shop for the true cat lover!
This store has a great overall selection of pet supplies. I think their inventory is heavily weighted towards dogs, but they do have great supplies for cats, reptiles, gerbils, fish, etc. Basically, they have a little bit for everyone. I've purchased a lot of my pet supplies and fun toys for my pets here and always had great success. I don't think their food is the best priced - you'll probably still do better buying it at the grocery store, but it is one stop shopping!
