Allen Pond Park is located right next door to a major ighway and shopping center but you would never know it because it is very quiet and serene. There are 4 or 5 different playgrounds for the children to play on complete with swings, slides, and sandboxes. There are picinic table and grill areas surrounding a pond hwere the little ones can fish. This place is very well taken care of and I would go there every weekend if I could.
PROS: quiet, convient, clean
This place was really coll. $11 per person and worth every penny. There is a huge "tree fort" 3 stories high that the children and even adults can climb inside. That alone occupies a good hour. For the toddlers there is an exploration room with no big kids so they can jump into the ball pit or play on the mini tree fort. There are several different rooms for the children such as the arts and crafts room and the music are where they can learn about music.
Make sure you have a whole day set aside for this place because your kids will never want to leave.
PROS: activities will last all day, worth the money
CONS: parking was difficult and added to the expenses
i love the aqaurium but I cannot afford to take my family more than once a year. At $17 per ticket, it comes to well in the three digit figure after parking. Most people will complain that oyu cannot take a stroller into the aquarium, but if you ever go on a crowded weekend you can see why. The place does tend to get overcrowded eventhough they time the entry of each visitor. The place does provide backpack carriers for those with little ones who cannot walk around yet. The tour id great. I love the sharks, very scary. The whole tour builds up to the dolphin show which is a dissapointment to me, but the kids like it. you go in expecting more tricks and activities, but all they do is show you how they train the dolphins. for $17 a person, I expect more flips!!
PROS: cool animals, kids love it
CONS: PRICE!!! and the dolphin show is a bit dissapointing
The admission is a fair price, I believe $11 per person. I love how they have the monkey exhibits right up front. My favorite thing about this zoo is that they have penguins there. The zoo itself could be cleaner. On they days that I have been the ground had excess trash. A bit of a drive, the zoo is far into the city.
PROS: fair price, penguins
I love this little park in the middle of the hustle of daily life. This park is right down the street so it is very convient. It is a very large fenced in area with another adjacent fenced in area for the shy dogs. The people who go are so curtious about picking up after their dogs that I let my daughter run around and play on the grass.
PROS: Convient, clean, spacious
This place is a wonderful place to let your dog run free and play in the water. The parks department keeps this park clean but the people who take their dogs there also help to keep the beach/ park clean. The only rule I don't like is that the human can't go in the water with the dogs and at times is can get a little crowded. Overall, the best dog park in the area.
PROS: great beach, area, nice and clean
CONS: I want to go in the water too!
I used this drycleaner because my daughter vomited on my wool coat. I took it in and it was ready 4 days later. I was expecting a normal dry cleaning bill, $20 tops, but it was $38!! I asked why the price was so high and they said that they used something special, like a stain repellent for next time it happened, which I did not ask for. I was mad at the price but the coat turned out good.
PROS: got the stain out
CONS: charged for thingsI didn't ask for.
My family went there for their pumpkinville. We had a good time. There were plenty of aniumals to feed and look at and they had a pony ride and camel ride that my 2 year old enjoyed. There was also a baby tiger which my family loved. The rest of the park was OK, but not worth the drive to go there. There was no restroom besides port a potties which I found odd because this si a place for children and there was no place to change diapers.
PROS: lots of animals, wide open spaces, good price
CONS: no bathrooms!!
This vet was recomended by a neighbor and I am very happy with it so far. The place feels like a family and I am greeted everytime with a friendly smile. I took my dig there because he needed his puppy shots, flea medication, and heart worm medication. They gave him extra vaccines for Lyme disease and kennel cough to be on the safe side which I am not sure if they were really neccissary so the bill was very pricey, but I compared the prices to another vet and they are about the same. You pay ofr what oyu get and this office goes the extra mile for their patients.
PROS: caring staff, friendly environment, thourough examinations
This gym is so cool. I wish I was a kid again so I can play there too. This is a great alternative to the national chains such as Gymboree because the play is less structured and more about what the children want to do. They have a moon bounce and gymnastic equipment. i love this place as an option for the winter months whaen it is too cold to play outside. It is only $135 for a 2 month session which is the cheapest price I have seen for similiar places.
PROS: Cheap, fun, and the teachers are great
CONS: they need more locations!! I have to drive a bit to Severna Park but it is
