Four Friends Tea Room & Gifts
The gift shop at Four Friends is a very quaint place with a pleasing variety of gift possibilities. They carry a nice selection of tea services, tea pots and tea cups, gourmet teas, as well as their own blend, plus candles, jewelry and decorative items. Pleasant service. Not the best place to take children with busy hands.
A Woman's Work
This is a rather small store, but they have a wonderful stock of fashions & accessories for pregnant and breastfeeding women. They also carry a lot of supplies that may be recommended if you are having any trouble breastfeeding. They rent and seel Medela breast pumps, offer breastfeeding education and have lactations consultants on staff. Great place if you are, or plan to be, a nursing mom.
Women's Health Boutique
Fairly nice selection of bras in harder to find sizes and assistance available in bra fitting. They also carry a wide array of products such as prosthesis for women who have had masetomies and wigs for those going thought cancer treatments. The big let down for me came after our visit. My mother had requested they order some things for her and they were supposed to call her with the information, but they never followed up. Thankfully she didn't have to pay prior to the completion of the order, but it was disappointing. It may have been a simple oversight, but I think if I were to go back I would try another one of their locations.
Yarns 2 Ewe Inc
I really wanted to like this place. They do have a wonderful selection of yarns, but my experience with their customer service was very disappointing. I made a visit with my mother when I was looking for a special yarn for a wedding gift I was making. The store is pleasantly set up and there were a numer of people there working on projects. However, my mother and I were completely ignored. After being in the store and browsing, and sendng out signals that we had some question, I finally sought out assistance, which ws given half-heartedly at best. I felt as though I had interrupted a private knitting group rather than entered a retail store that wanted my business. I would rather shop online.
Top Drawer Lingerie
This is a beautiful boutique with helpful staff. If you wear a bra size that is hard to find, this is the place to go if you want to shop ina brick & mortar store. They are also experts at bra fitting, so if you aren't sure of your proper size, they can help. They have a beautiful selection of other lingerie as well and do offer alterations. The only drawback is that it is kind of expensive, but their quality is worth it.
C.V. 'Vic' Coppinger Family YMCA
We are very glad that we have joined the YMCA here in Pearland. They have great exercise facilities and helpful fitness staff for my self and my husband. For the kids, they hve a nice crild watch program as well as multiple different acitivities and youth sports to become involved in. The cost is better than at most gyms and you get so much more.
A Lot of Panache
This place could be dangerous. They have the largest and nicest selection of women's clothing and accessories of any resale shop I have been in recently. Very high quality clothes in every category, from jeans to business suit and formal attire. A very nice selection of handbags and accessories as well.
Jacobs, Mark A, MD Fertility Specialists-Houston
Dr. Randall Dunn, a reproductive endocinologist, of Fertility Specialists of Houston was recommended by my OB. I have found him to be friendly and honest. He diagnosed issues for myself and my husband that had as yet gone unidentified and gave us hope for a growing family. He explained all of our options carefully and did not pressure us into making a decision before we were ready. His staff has been a pleasure to interact with, particularly his Nurse Practitioner, Debbie. They are able to make you feel comfortable and cared for when confronting the emotional issues of infertility.
Richardson, Lisa DDS
I can't say enough about this dental practice, and Dr. Richardson in particular. They are dedicated specifically to children and patients with disabilities or special needs. I started taking my son there at 1 year old. For children under 4 they have a special office and chair for the child to sit in, in a parents lap. At 4, they start taking them into the back "where the big kids are" for more traditional dental cleanings. My son is so comfortable there, he hardly btted an eye when it was time to back by himself for the first time. Dr. Richardson is sweet and patient, with a genuine concern for her patients. When my child was about 2, he hit his lip and tore the frenum (the little flap of skin between his upper lip and gum). When I called the office to find out if I needed to do anything Dr. Richardson asked me to bring him in. We were seen right away and Dr. Richardson then told us that everything ws fine, just as she suspected from what I told her on the phone, but that she had just wanted to make sure the injury didn't need any extra attention. She then instructed her staff that there ws to be no charg for the visit. She told me she just knew she would feel better if she had checked it out in person. That's the kind of care I want for my child!
South Friendswood Dental Assoc
I started going to this dental practice about 2 years ago, and although the dentist I originally saw is no longer with the practice, I am still as happy with them as can be. The entire staff, from front dest to hygenist to dentist, is very friendly. It surprised me to have them come to know me well enough to match face and name as quickly as they did, particularly when dental visits are generally just 2x per year. Highly recommended.
