I'm not an avid golf player by any means, but I enjoyed my experience on this golf course. The grounds are well maintained with just a fit knicks here and there and the crowd isn't too bad, especially on weekdays, but the best part is the wonderful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The price is reasonable for this 18 hole hilly course.
A friend of mine wanted to get me a bike for my Birthday, but instead of going to the local Sportsmart, we dropped by Bear Bikes. Although I know little about bikes, the staff were extremely helpful in directing my friend on what bikes were available and even had the option to custom modding the bikes. The prices were reasonable, but the customer service was incredible. We felt no pressure to commit on anything, but we did buy something in the end.
If I was on the east coast, I would probably go and try one of those online anime rentals like rentanime, but over here, Japan Video has one of the best substantial collections of anime available. Unlike some mainstream places like Blockbuster that have a small lackluster selection of US released titles, they include a variety of selections including known titles like your typical Sailor Moon to more "ecchi" stuff that may or may not ever be released in the States. My only qualm is that once in a while I have problems finding certain titles - not because they're not available but the staff placed it in the wrong place. The prices are average for anime, or slightly more than American rentals.
My former workplace once required a new billboard sign to put in front of the window display and we got a shoddy board job from a business prior to this one. A friend recommended this business to me, so we got a quote and sample on what they can do and after we're satisfied, they got it done in a day. We got a follow up from them a little later just to check up on us and it's still being used to this day. The prices were reasonable and service was exceptional.
I had to replace a double lock at home some time ago, but could not find a decent looking replacement at some other locations. But Mainline had a good variety selection and the brass knobs in particular caught my interest. After a good thorough explanation on my locks, I had my locks installed in a day. The place itself is small and price is average, but the service was quick in gettiing my door lock changed.
Jeffrey's has an incredibly large inventory of board games, comics, toys, stuff animals and misc. knick knacks that they're practically falling out of their pile. Their prices are a little pricey on occasion, but they have a number of items you won't find at your local Toys'R Us. This is a low-tech store, so you won't find your latest video games here, but other than that, they practically dabble on almost every hobby out there.
Often times I'm assigned to prep for family and friend's gathering parties and stuck in sending out the invitations. Patrick & Co. has been great in having on hand large volumes of specialized envelopes and stationary, and disposable decorations for draping a room. Although the price is just adequate, the staff are friendly in suggesting ideas and only a few other places could compare with the numbers of options you have available.
There is no wonder why this is world renown. I've been to this place months apart and they always seem to have something new. The facility is huge with aquatic exhibits that you can play observer to and on occasion (like the stingray exhibit) can even touch the creatures. The place is made up to several floors and will take you a couple days to fully explore. As a family oriented exhibit, there are many of things for the children to play and interactive with that are both fun and educational. Much of the staff there are volunteers, but they definitely take pride in their jobs and it shows.
I am a big anime buff and when it comes to models, this place is full of it. The store itself is small, but it's very spacious with models (not those action figures, but ones you just look at) lined up neatly in glass displays. The selection varies from Ultraman to kawaii girl pinups to Gundam-like planes. This is not a place to get those cheapy plastics that you see at your normal toy shop, but for serious collectors, especially those who are feeling nostalgic
I use to use this place relentlessly while going to school to save money on books. With their huge selection, I was able to find a number of titles that I couldn't find in more mainstream places and sometimes at half price. The store is jammed pack with books, so it's best to ask the employees for help and if you they don't have a title in stock, they are often able to acquire it for you on order with little hassle.
