Medicine River Trading Company

Medicine River is quite an odd little shop. One part of the store is filled with paintings from local artists, many of them looks very good and a lot of them use unique styles for painting such as collage and watercolor. They are for sale, but their prices are very high, but many of them would look very good in a home. The other side of the store is a mixture of art supplies, there are paints, brushes, how-to books, canvases, and clay. This side of the store is much better as their selection is wider and the prices are better. Employees are helpful and can help create a 'start-up' kit if you are new to certain form of art. The store is small, so, I imagine a crowd of people would cause much discomfort, but when I visited, I was the only customer in the store at the time. I enjoyed myself and left with a few art supplies for my daughters. The employee was very nice and overall it's a good little store, not amazing, but still very good.

Keiths Repair

Keith's Repair is terrible. I needed to get my car tuned up because of a rattling sound I heard, so, I pulled up and waited a while before getting out of my car to find an employee, there was one in the office who told me to wait and I sat for 20 minutes before a repair-worker showed up and I explained what I wanted. He told me it'd take 3 days (or more if there is something seriously wrong). I was mad at how long it would take for a quick tune-up, but I shrugged it off and went home. 6 days passed before they called and said they wouldn't be ready for another WEEK! At this point I was extremely mad at how long they were taking, but I assumed there was a problem that needed to be fixed. Finally, they call and tell me my car is ready, I show up and pay a REALLY EXPENSIVE BILL. At this point I am just furious, when I ask what they did, they explain it in words and terms I didn't understand. I left and got in my now fixed car and drove off. I was shocked to hear the rattling sound still and the car acting or driving no different. I feel ripped off. Terrible!

City Of Conrad Public Library

City of Conrad Public Library is, to put it simply...amazing! The library is well-built, the outside appearence gives off a very clean apprence and since it is two stories, it rises above the other small buisnesses surrounding it, it really gives off a good feeling when you first see it. Inside, it's so clean. The bottom floor is dedicated to children's books, the librarians in this section are not helpful and are rather nasty, but the appearence and selection inside is very nice. There is a little dragon built inside that always gets kids to run over to. Upstairs, is the adult section where there are computers, dictionaries, etc;. Computers are brand new and top the line, tables are clean, and the selection of books is amazing! A lot of books however, are old and aren't in the best shape, but the vast selection makes up for it. There are also great places for students to study. It's really amazing!

PROS: Selection, Appearence, Up-Stairs Librarians, Flexibility
CONS: Some of the books are very old and dirty, children's librarians are rude

Pondera Golf Club

Pondera Golf Club is a fairly good golf club. Their course is expensive, very large and will take about 2 hours to complete, it is well designed, evenly distributing easy and hard holes. There are some really good challenges, and the grass is well-cut, and everything is very clean. It is clear that the owners put a lot of care into their course, however, the membership fee is expensive and their employees could be a little nicer. While they are fun people, they aren't very flexible. This is a great course, no question, the club is nice, employees are generally good, but the price is sorta expensive, but it isn't that bad. I would reccomend it.

Town Pump Food Stores

Town Pump Food Store is a small grocery store that has a very limited selection. It is located between two stores and it's outward appearence makes the store look run-down, it's not flashy as all. Inside, it reflects the same apprarence, there are yellow-ish walls and your classic isles of food. Since, their store is very small, their selection if very small. They have a lot of pre-packaged foods, but they do not have slushi/soda MACHINES or any solid foods like hots. However, they do have chips, desserts, a limited selection of medicines, drinks from a bottle, and an assortment of other misc. items. At the counter, employees are generally uninterested and don't say much besides the classic "Did you find everything?" Still, it's not bad, but the selection is limited and the employees aren't anything similar. Prices are fair, not groundbreaking or expensive, just fair. A Satisfactory Outlit.

Conrad Veterinary Hospital

Conrad Veterinary Hospital, is a friendly facility. Their employees are very happy and work well with animals. Oftentimes, they strike up conversations while you are in the waiting room waiting for the doctor. Usually, you have to wait about 15 minutes before he is available, so, the wait can be quite extreme at times. However, once the doctor comes in, he, is very helpful and kind. Usually, we can find out what's wrong with your pet in a few minutes of check-up, however, if the problem is more serious, he'll keep them overnight and return them to you the next day. Sadly, the price is very expensive, esp. overnight stays. They charge you for all the equiptment used on top of the flat rate, so, at times (depending on the illness) the price can be really high! They also offer supplies and accessories, but their selection is limited and expensive, so, this is primarely a place to bring in your pet for a check-up.

Dry Fork Petal Pushers

Dry Fork offers a wide selection and variety of gift items such as candies and flowers. I was very pleased with the helpful and kind employees and they helped me find the items I wanted. Prices were fair, but at times, they were a little overpriced, but it wasn't much of a problem. The store is small and since there are a lot of items and the selection if varied, it's hard to walk around and esp. if the store is crowded, I found myself pushing past people and avoiding items sticking off the shelves. A lot of the tiems are unique and very pretty, they have a balloon maker right in the shop, and the wide selection of cards makes it so you can find any card for any occassion.

Conrads Crafty Flowers

Conrad Floral and Gift offers flower arrangments for big events such as weddings. For our wedding, we had them design the floral arrangements throughout our wedding. We told them the color theme of our wedding and they quickly gave us some options and all we had to do was select the flowers we liked and the left was up to them. We paid them upfront and the price was spectacular, we received quality arragenments for an unbeatable, competitive price! Finally, the big day and they had arrived on location before us and worked with us and placed the floral arrangements all around our wedding site. It was spectacular to say the least, they were beautiful and the staff really know how to mix colors and overall create a pleasing item to the senses! A+!

House Of Charles Beauty Salon

House of Charles Beauty Salon is a small salon that offers a wide variety of beauty products and they offer haircuts. Their prices are pretty expensive, but I hoped for a quality product. During the entire procedure, not once did she talk to me after I gave her what kind of trim I wanted, instead, she, was talking to another employee non-stop. I don't know if she was distracted or not, because at the end of the cut, the overall product was ... poor. She didn't listen to what I wanted and instead gave me an 'OKay' product. I paid the expensive price tag, but did not leave a tip. I was mad that she did not give me the cut I wanted, was quiet and distant throughout the entire haircut, and the price was very expensive. I do not reccomend!

Pendroy Mercantile

Pendroy Marcantile is a large, spacious department store. Inside there are all kinds of quality clothing for men and women. I was very impressed with the quality of these VERY much affordable clothes. Inside, they have a 5 dressing rooms, and since the store is rarely crowded, you don't have to worry about lines or waiting. Employees are very helpful and nice and were able to answer all my questions. Prices are fair and very affordable, but the selection is somewhat limited. It's a good store, with great prices, helpful employees, but the selection is limited. Shame.
