This is a cute cozy store for your wedding needs. They offer such services as tailoring and if you need alterations. They also provide you with photography services for your bid day. It is a very small store, so don't expect over decorated office. They provide a good service and they do their job efficiently. You can also get asian themed wedding dresses.
Oriental Factory Direct
This is not the best place to find an Asian themed gift. Most of the items are inflated in price and they are not of the best quality. They have a lot of Sanrio products that kids seem to love. However they are about the same price of Sanrio products found in the mall. One bonus about this store is that they have a video store that offers the latest movies from Asia. This is a very spacious store, so if you're in a bind and need a particular gift in this theme, you may find it here.
Golden Gift
This is a great little place to find gifts for your families and friends. Most of them items are imported from Asia. They have such things as Jade Buddhas, Chinese red wood style chairs, and little nick nacks to bring goodluck. It is owned by a family and they will try their best to assist you. They are not pushy and you can browse freely. Just make sure to becareful since a lot of the objects are fragile. It's a not a huge store, but they have rows of shelves filled with great gift ideas.
Native Grill & Wings
The Native Newyorker is your classic style bar. They have simple furniture and large screen tvs in almost every corner. They have a large bar, but there are not many imported beers. But the best feature of this place are the wings! On some nights they have 25 cents wings. They are made in the traditional way with the sauce dripping off them, not like the type of wings you get with a pizza order! If you don't get in on the 25 cent wings they are usually having some sort of deal. But wither way the menu is inexpensive.
40th St. Cafe
This is a fairly small restaurant with a seating capacity of probably 50-60 people. All the meals are cooked fresh and in the style of good ol' american cooking. It's family owned, and the walls are adorned with pictures of soldiers overseas. Other then for a few pictures it's not heavily decorated. If you're looking for a small restaurant that probably makes your favourite hamburger, this is the place to go. I recommend the onion rings. It's also inexpensive with meals priced at 8 bucks.
Dubliner Irish Pub & Bar
The Dubliner is a great casual place after work to go. The feature your classic bar menu as well as a variety of imported and domestic beers. It is dimly lit and practically everyone smokes. The decor is simple and is modeled after the classic Irish style of bars. The best feature of this restaurant is the entertainment. They have great live bands that sing and play in such a way that they involve the audience! It's a great place to get loose.
Suede Restaurant & Lounge
I have been to suede twice in my life and that is the way it's going to stay. I went to Suede with my husband a few weeks ago. He presented his ID to the bouncer. The bouncer said he was going to hold the ID while my husband went to the atm to get the cover charge. He paid the cover charge, and the bouncer hurried us along. BUT he never gave my husband his ID back! So the next day we had to drive 30 mins back to Suede. We were told by the hostess on the phone that for our trouble we would get in free of charge next time... and when we showed up the Owner looks at us and says "I don't think so". Talk about wonderful customer service. It's a nice place, but there's something to be said about a polite and friendly demeanor.
Az Beach Club
I do not recommend going to AZ beach club on the weekends because that's when you get a lot of the obnoxious college kids. But I find wednesdays are a great time to go. The crowd seems to act more mature on this week night and the music has more of a variety instead of constant hip hop. Sundays however are not bad when they have certain themes to them. For example metal skool that comes on some sundays can prove to be interesting night as they provide a parody of the typical heavy metal genre. Don't expect anything too classy, Az beach club is just that, a wooden mock beach house.
Scorch Bar
Scorch Bar is a fairly new nightclub/bar. It has a very small dance floor, but most of the crowd is there to mingle. Which is expected since the age is more mature. Ladies make sure to get there before 10 so you can get in on the drink specials. The best feature of this night club is the bathroom. the bathroom is created in such a way that you can partially see the opposite sex, as the washrooms are adjacent. But don't worry, they can't see into the stall or anything obscene. But it offers a rare glimpse into a different world.
Myst Nightclub
Myst is a very classy night club. It features several rooms that play different music. This is a bonus for someone who enjoys a variety of different tunes. If your feet get tired go downstairs to the white room where they have big comfy white furniture so you can catch your breath. The people are also very friendly. If you frequent the club often you'll probably get free passes for the next time you visit. The crowd is also more mature as it is 21+.
