Hana Sushi is a small Japanese restaurant. If you don't pay attention you may miss it! They have wonderful sushi. It's not like other places where you can tell you're eating commercial sushi. The price however is on the pricey side. They are family owned, and everyone in there speaks Japanese. But don't be afraid because they're more then willing to try and help. I recommend the caterpillar roll. Also make sure to call ahead of time. Sometimes the place can get very busy since it only seats around 50 people.
This is another small type of coffee house. And even better, they have FREE wireless internet. You don't have to go to Starbucks and pay a lot of money ! The prices are inexpensive and the drinks are moderate in size. The coffee house is seated with couches and cushioned seats. This makes it an ideal place for people with laptops. However I do recommend calling before you go. Sometimes they have weird hours because organizations rent the coffee house on certain nights.
For the most part I recommend this Dental office. The staff is friendly and the office isn't small and cramped. It is a new establishment, so all the equipment is high tech and fresh. The dentist is gentle and she cares well about your oral care. They even gave me a free stuffed animal for being brave (I dislike dental work). My only problem was that I received a bill for services that I had already paid for. However the receptionist was able to rectify this problem after I had called.
This is the type of small coffee houses that existed before Starbucks took over.
Usually there is only one person working, but for the small trickle of people that come in, it's not a problem. The coffee house is well kept, and the service is friendly. They also feature artwork of local artists which is a very nice addition. The prices are cheap-moderate depending on the items you order. I personally recommend the white hot chocolate.
I originally tried Aloosions because I was given a gift certificate. I'm not a normal spa person but this place changed my mind. It is very clean and spacious and the prices aren't too bad considering it is Scottsdale. The ladies are always cheerful and they always ask if I need anything.
I absolutely love the hairstylists and manicure technicians. They are very attentive. Aloosions was the first place I have ever gone too where I brought a picture of a hairstyle and she was able to achieve it!
Also, they aren't pushy about upselling. They casually mention it, but you don't feel any pressure at all.
I have been to this restaurant several times. They have a large variety that includes vegetarians foods as well.
The most important aspect of this restaurant is that they like to put twists on classic asian cuisines. I personally recommend the Honey Chicken Entree, priced very inexpensively at 11 bucks.
They also have a great atmosphere. Go at night when they light up the torches! It can create a very romantic ambience.
My only problem is that sometimes you may be waiting for awhile, I do also recommend making reservations.
I'm a student so it is hard to find places to shop that are inexpensive but cater to my clothing style. Xi, however is one of the places I recommend for shopping.
The feature the latest styles. Xi was at first a clothing company in Asia but crossed international borders to bring us the best prices. The store itself is color coded, so if you need a specific color, you'll save time. I also enjoy the fact that they're casual clothing is grouped in one area. This is also a great place to find cheap yoga pants.
Although sometimes the clothing maybe cheaply made, you get what you pay for. If you're contantly changing your outfits and have a budget this is the place to go. Besides it's clean and spacious. Avoid the weekend, that's when the crowds stream in.
