I purchased my first decent car at this dealer. The salesman I worked with was a nice funny guy not sleazy like some salesman are. He didn't harass or try to pressure me into anything. He spent time asking me exactly what I was looking for and unfortuntely nothing caught my eye the first time I was there. He took my phone number and told me he would call if something came in. Amazingly he called me later that day because a couple had traded in a car just like I was looking for and it was in excellent condition. We went back that night to check it out and it was a beautiful car with low milage. I got everything done that night and it was all in all a very easy and pleasant experience.
I had my endoscopy done at St Vincent Carmel. This was the first time I had ever been there and I was surprised at how elegant it was. When you enter the lobby there is actually a fountain and a piano player. The rooms you wait in while you have the procedure are sparse but they do have small tvs and you can have someone back there with you. The nursing staff was very kind. It was a very smooth process.
I had outpatient surgery at the Indiana Surgery Center to have kidney stones removed from my ureter and have a stint put into my kidney. Once you have arrived and filled out the paperwork they take you back to a small room where they have a TV and comfortable seating and they have you take off your clothes and any jewelry. They give you a gown and footies and a cap and this is the room you stay in until its time for the procedure. The nursing staff that takes care of you are all very kind and friendly. They understand that you are nervous and help you deal with that. They explain everything they are doing as they do it. You actually walk to the operating room yourself which is interesting. When it is done you spend time in recovery so the nurses can wake you up from the anesthesia and make sure you stay awake. Then they give you any pain meds etc. Then you go back to your little room. They wheel you in on your bed and you can stay in that or when you feel up to it you can move to the chair. You are allowed to have two people in the room with you. This is where you stay until you are disharged. They wanted me to drink a glass of ginger ale I believe it was before they would let me leave. Surgery is certainly not fun but caring people taking care of you definately helps makes the experience more pleasant. The waiting room is nice and you are also able to get something to eat while you wait for someone to have their procedure done.
I saw Dr Clarke when I was having some stomach problems that my internal medicine doctor was unable to diagnose. I was refered to another doctor but my sister had actually seen Dr. Clarke in the past and like him so I chose to go to him. He listened to all that I had going on and decided that an endoscopy would be the best way to go. He performed the endoscopy for me at St Vincent Carmel . I was dehydrated from being sick and unable to eat and the nurses were unable to get my IV in, after several tries they called him in and he was able to get it in. Before the procedure I was in the little room they do it in and I was very nervous. He made me laugh by teasing me about my ratty jeans which really made me feel better and helped calm me down. He sedated me enough that I don't remember a single thing about the procedure. I would recommend him to anyone. He is a great doctor and he has a good personality.
I had my hair highlighted for the first time at this particular Regis location within the Greenwood Mall. My hair is naturally a medium blonde and I wanted very light blond highlights. I brought a picture with me to show visually what I wanted. The stylist I had proceded to tell me that it would be no problem and applied the color. Instead of having streaks of color, I actually had spots in some areas expecially in the back. And the spots weren't even the same color blonde, they were rather orange. The day I was there I did not have time to argue with them because I had somewhere else to be and they would not let me leave without paying so I had to pay for it and it was expensive. I called later and spoke to a manager and they would not let me have someone else fix it without having to pay. If someone messes up my color I don't want that same person touching it again. All I wanted was a different stylist to do the fixing. I ended up going somewhere else and paying again but having an excellent color job done. I had to end up bleaching all of it out.
David & Mary Salon has everything from makeup application lessons to massage and skin treatments and waxing. David and Mary are a husband and wife team and they have their own line of products which you can purchase. I think the prices are reasonable for the service and the quality you recieve. You can get a hot stone massage that lasts around 60 minutes for $95.00. They also now offer airbrush tanning which is a safe alternative to tanning booths. The color they apply has no odor and you will not look orange. Its a very natural tan. This runs $35 and seems to take around 25-30 minutes. The staff is very well trained and personable. There is something for everyone here. They even have manicures for men. And the interior of the salon is also very beautifully designed and adds to the relaxing experience.
I have been to the Stardust Bowl a few times The are located in Noblesville on Westfield Road and they have 32 lanes. They have a cafe that serves everything from tenderloin to salad. Decently priced and better than your average bowling alley food. They do have arcade games and they also have cosmic bowling which is a lot of fun. They also have leagues. I don't know if he does it anymore but Reggie Miller used to have a yearly fundraiser there. I went the year he had Nsync as well as some local celebs.
I have been to several concerts at the Murat and they have all been enjoyable. The outside and inside of the Murat is absolutely beatiful. They have several different rooms on the inside. The most used for concerts are the Murat Theatre and The Egyptian Room. The Egyptian Room is usually used for general admission or standing room only. The Murat Theatre is reserved seating. I had the experience of seeing a concert from the front row in the Murat Threatre and it was amazing. The seats are comfortable and in the front row there is a railing and then an open splace where you can see the floor below and then the stage so you are not right up on the stage. I have also watched concerts from the balcony and even though the view was not the best the sound was still good. They do have two lots to park in so that makes it pleasant as well.
This particular venue is made for basketball. The main floor is pretty neat in that is has some pavillions. There is an Indy Star pavillion. You can actually take a picture as a front page photo. There is also Motor Speedway Pavillion where they have a virtual racing game and some infomation on races past. The entry pavillion is my favorite, it is huge and all glass and it has the big Home of the Indianapolis Pacers lighted sign. There are tons of options of things to eat and drink but be prepared to pay for it cause it is not cheap at all. This place is well made for sporting events, I have been here for Pacers games and WWF and both were excellent. I have also been to a few concerts here and unless you have floor seats the view and the sound both are mediocre at best. On the floor the sound is great but as you get up in the seating the sounds get all muddled together.
This is my favorite place to see concerts in Indianapolis. When the weather is nice it makes it even better. Its always fun to sit out on the lawn where you can bring a blanket and just sprawl out. Of course sitting in the actual seating area is cool as well. There really aren't any bad seats in the place. The sound is as good in the lawn as it is in the front rows. They have plenty of options for food and drink. The bathrooms can get pretty gross but that can be expected with as many people as there are at any given concert. The worst part is trying to get out of the parking lot. Make sure you bring your patience if you stay till the end of the show because it is an absolute nightmare trying to get out onto the interstate. It can take upwards of an hour.
