SBC Park
I always thought baseball seemed boring on TV. It is much more fun at the SBC Park. I sat in the cheap seats and had so much fun. I like the hot dogs too. Best baseball experience I have had. each seat has a great view of the game and of the bay- AND THE SEATS ARE SUPRISINGLY CHEAP. the stones just performed there, a couple of weeks ago.
Computer Network Repair
has good prices on stuff, and it's one of the very few local computer stores with a decent selection. Unlike most larger stores. these guys only sells high quality computer components. You won't get some cheap motherboard that will break after a month or RAM and hard drives with missing parts. the prices are very reasonable. if you live far out- trust me, it's worth the drive. fortunately, i work near in san lorenzo.
Regina's Lace & Craft
I love this place because it's...well....cheap and it carried some stuff that I couldn't find at some other art stores. I also love that it carries art AND craft. I never got attitude from anyone in the store before. In fact, the employees actually seemed pretty nice and knew where their products were located. highly recommended!!
Parkway Theater
Probably the best time I've had at the movies was here - and why not? When you've got pizza, drinks, bowls of hot popcorn and HUGE & COMFY couches to sink into while you watch the movie ... it's a memorable experience...it's like being at home!!
Pepe's Cabinets
these guys are something. they will stop at nothing to get your business. they offered free estimates, they offered discounts on 3rd room...and most importantly, they guaranteed satisfaction, which they delivered. they did both my bathroom and kitchen....billing it as one service, instead of two, and this was especially helpful, seeing as though we were on a budget. and although, we didn't get anything fancy, they treated us as though, we were.
Dr J's Barber-Stylist Salon
really, this guy is the real deal. i used to think that all barber shops were the same until i found dr. j's. this guy is really a medically certified hair and scalp diagnostician. this guy is so good at cutting hair, he became a doctor in the field. the prices are reasonable. and they offer services other than just hair cutting.....like i said, this is dr. j....so, if finds something wrong, he'll tell you. and not just treat it with a little rubbing alcohol. btw, you don't even need an appointment- how cool.
Broadway Grooming Clinic
for 25 bucks, you can take your dog with you when you leave for work in the morning, drop him off at bpg, and leave him there until you get off. oh, yeah....did i mention, they leave your dog looking like a million bucks.
Berkeley Flea Market
this flea market is located right near the border oakland/berkeley; right in the parking lot (really) of the ashby bart station. even though this flea market is rather small, it has huge varieties of items you can purchase. every saturday, you'll find me there. i remember my first visit, there. i got off the bart, with only $21 in my pocket....i left with a new wallet, a new dvd (wont mention the kind), and a pack double AA batteries...and i had 6 bucks left. i recommend this place. and it's not too crowded, either.
Pioneer Bike Shop
Good selection of accessories, decent prices, attentive and helpful staff. They do good work when it comes time to maintain / tune up your bike -- mine was done a day early and they even called to let me know I could pick it up. When it comes time to upgrade, I'll definitely check them out
University Plumbing & Hardware
very friendly staff-- always willing to answer questions. I have even taken in whatever screws/bolts that I'm using, and the staff has graciously and patiently helped me pick out the right tools/drill bits/etc
