Wagners is a true drive-in. "Car hops" take your order, deliver your food to your car and remove the tray when you are done. It is really a fun place to eat! My kids look forward to the opening of Wagners each Spring. They have a large menu(a variety of burgers, Chicago style hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, all of the typical sides that you would expect at a drive-in, shakes and malts)and the food actually tastes good! It can get a little crowded and sometimes the service is a little slow, but it's a fun place to go with your kids (or your parents who used to hang out at drive-ins). There's nothing gimmicky at Wagners, just good food and fun!
Foss is without a doubt the best swim school in the Twin Cities. First of all, they really teach your kids to swim and they also teach them water safety and what to do in case of an accident. The beauty of it is that your kids don't know that they are at swim lessons because they are having so much fun!!! The Foss method of teaching swimming is the best and easiest method that I have seen yet. Our daughter has been going to Foss for 3 years (she knows how to swim, but she wants "to learn more", I told you it was fun) and every swim instructor she has had has been excellent. The instructors know how to teach swimming, they have great personalities (or else they are great at faking it) and they have a ton of energy! And to make things even better, THE WATER IN THE POOL IS WARM!!!!
PROS: Excellent Instructors, Great Method, Warm Water, Fun Environment
This is the place to shop for inexpensive, trendy clothes for teenage girls! My teenage daughter loves this store. They carry the latest styles and the prices are very inexpensive. The quality of their merchandise is decent. As a parent, I like it because the trends for teenagers change so quickly and shopping at Forever 21 allows my daughter to have the styles she wants without costing me a fortune.
I purchased a massage package for myself at Positive Body Dynamics and I don't think it was a good investment. The problem was I didn't find that the level of expertise of their therapists was consistent. So one time I would get a good massage and another time I would get a so-so massage. I had one massage that I would rate as not good at all because the therapist was so inexperienced. You can request a specific massage therapist, but it seemed like whenever I would request someone they wouldn't be working. I bought my husband a massage package at the same time that I bought mine and his experiences where similar to my experiences. I would recommend them on a time by time basis or if you know in advance that you are getting a good massage therapist.
Our daughter went to Ramalynn Montessori Academy for 3 years (for preschool). They have an outstanding program! We really "shopped" around and we did not find anything that came close to what Ramalynn had to offer their students. At the age of 3 our daughter was exposed to a foreign language, math, geography, language arts, drama, science, physical education and fine arts. I was amazed to find that they even had a music specialist. The staff is very kind and loving. I felt like they were all "Mary Poppins". Our daughter loved attending Ramalynn. In fact, when we would pick her up from school, we often had to "bribe" her to leave. She was having so much fun that she didn't even know that she was learning!
PROS: Incredible Educational Program in a Warm and Loving Atmosphere
The breads from Breadsmith are wonderful! I have tried several different kinds from sourdoughs to sweet breads and everyone of them has been delicious. Their breads are fresh daily. Their prices are more than you would pay at the grocery store but I think that they are worth every penny. They also have a frequent buyer card and you can earn free breads.
We used them for the centerpieces for our rehearsal dinner and the arrangements that they made for us were awesome!!! I was a little nervous because I knew what I wanted but didn't know how to explain it to them. The floral designer that I worked with was able to interpret what I was saying (or not saying) and I wouldn't have changed a thing that they did for us. The tables looked gorgeous and it really was due to the centerpieces. The cost was very reasonable.
I have only used them once, but I would definitely use them again. I needed a centerpiece at the last minute during the Christmas holidays. I ordered it over the phone and they were very helpful and pleasant. I was very pleased with the centerpiece. It was perfect for my table and it lasted for days. The price of the centerpiece plus the delivery charge was very reasonable.
I have used Richfield Florist over the years and I have always been very happy with their floral arrangements. I have found that the arrangements themselves are more traditional in design. Their flowers are always very fresh and look beautiful for days. I often use them when I am wiring flowers out of state because I know that I can count on them to get the order correct.
We use Suburban Dry Cleaners for my husband's dress shirts and they always do a good job. We have tried several places to launder his shirts and we have had the best results with Suburban. I have also used them occasionally for dry-cleaning and mending and I have always had good results. Their prices are reasonable, a little more than some of the chain dry-cleaners, but when it comes to dry-cleaning, I feel that you get what you pay for in most cases.
