Buffalo Small Animal Hospital

When my friend got a new puppy we brought him here. He liked it because it was cheaper than some of the other places, but myself having gone to many other vets found the service to be good, but not as good as some others. He still goes here, but I usually spend a little more money going someplace where I know the people better.

King Center Charter School

The King Charter school is located in a church building so it is rather small. There is the main room, which is divided into different classrooms by walls- which don't go up to the ceiling. These walls also have windows so you can see out. If you look up you are able to see the high church ceiling and stain glass windows. The school also participates with local colleges streaming live videos to classes to see some classroom management techniques in an actual school setting.

Sweet Home School District

I was able to do some student teaching at this school and was very happy there. The teachers were very welcoming. It is a very good school where you children will learn a lot if they put the effort in. I didn't have any problems with the students. The facilities are top notch as well.

Buffalo Public Schools

Located right past the fake Castle and to the right is Waterfront school. A somewhat confusing building at first, it is very nice. There are friendly people working there. The people in the office are friendly as well. Some of the classrooms are the biggest I have ever seen. The art classroom is probably five times the size of the one I went to school with. A great place to send your kid.

The Moving Doctors, INC

My friend just moved last month and used this company. He had a lot of expensive furniture and all of it made it to their new destination in one piece. I know this was a stressful time for him, but having a good mover made all the difference! They do charge by the hour, which can be a bad thing if you are trying to save money, but in the end you will probably save money from not having to worry about replacing anything.

Urban Cuts Unisex Barber Shop

I have never gotten my hair cut here since they specialize in African-American haircuts, but I have driven my roommate here a couple times and he loves it. This is the only place he goes. Each time he gets a haircut and his eyebrows done. He even carries their business card around with him. The downside is that it is in a not so nice area and I have seen cops around the building on more then one occasion. If you live in the area then this might be a place for you to check out, but I wouldn't recommend someone drive out of their way.

Leon Studio One

I'm always nervous when getting my haircut because it always ends badly. Someone referred me to this place so I tried it out. They gave me a student discount, which is very helpful while in school. The girl who cut my hair was nice and took the time to make sure it was just how i wanted. I will go back here

Buffalo Early Childhood Ctr

The teachers here are extremely friendly for the most part. They have good control over the children. School 61 also has a partnership with Buffalo State College where art education majors go to the school every other week to teach a unit to select classes. These art lessons are very beneficial to the students. They look forward to it and are able to take a lot from it. At the end of each semester a display is put up for each class showcasing each students work from the units lessons.

Buffalo Public Schools

Lafayette is in a building that is 100 years old this year. The school has a number of good teachers I've seen. Attendance is a real big problem here. Other major problems plague the school, including drugs, and pregnancy. Luckily there is a dedicated staff there to help the students that want to get by.

Mondo Video

While I wouldn't use mono video as my main video rental store I am able to find movies there that I can't find in any other places. I was able to rent Battle Royal there- a movie about japanese school children that are put on a island forced to fight each other to the death. It is a good place to find movies that weren't released in the states to avoid spending the money importing.

PROS: Has some hard to find movies available
CONS: doesn't carry as much as the chain rental places
