I don't know if Fujiyama's opened in the 80s, but it definitely has the appeal of that era. Very dark, with lots of dark wood. Even has a landscaped area inside with a wood bridge and pond with fish. The Japanese steakhouse concept where you share a table with others and the chef cooks the food in front of you on a hot grill. The chef shows off by throwing eggs and teasing the guests. My food has always been very good with good cuts of chicken and steak.
Family style country cookin' is what you will find at this long-standing establishment. A dinner includes your choice of meat (highly recommend the fried chicken) along with several sides including mashed potatoes, vegetables, beets, cottage cheese, etc. Everything is served family style so it's a great place to take a large group. Also an excellent spot for a rehearsal dinner or other family event.
If you have a swimming pool, this is the store to visit to learn about maintenance. If you bring in a 1 quart pool or spa water sample, the trained staff will run about 15 different tests for FREE. You will then received a print out with all the stats about your water complete with instructions on how to correct water problems such as low chlorine, PH, etc. The chemical line is top notch as well.
This center comes highly recommended. A wonderful, caring environment where learning takes place. The staff is educated, trained and kind. Security is top notch. You cannot pick up your child without the proper ID. The price is more than most non-licensed child care providers but in line with most of the licensed child care centers.
A wonderful selection of scrapbooking supplies. I like both the variety of products and the store layout. What sets this store apart from its competitors is the excellent classes they offer. The classes are taught by talented scrapbook artists not just the staff that work at the store. I took a great class from a published scrapbook artist.
The place to go for quality art supplies. Great selection of items. Yes, you might be able to buy some items at your local craft store but not near the selection. What sets Bates apart from the rest is the knowledgeable and helpful staff who will help you find what you need for a project. The first place to go on your search for art and design supplies.
This studio contracted with my hospital (Community South) to visit new parents and offer portrait services. It was a wonderful convenience as the photographer came to our hospital room when our baby was just a couple days old. The photos were professional and classy. The black and white close up style. Our photo was my husband's hands cradling the baby. The prices were the industry standard and I was happy to pay for the convenience. My only complaint was that I wanted to use one of the portraits for a birth announcement and had to obtain copyright from Second Story. Second Story made it clear they weren't thrilled about giving copyright permission and would charge me for the privilege. I think in this circumstance, having paid several hundred dollars for photos, it would have been a nice perk if they had let me use the photo I bought for my birth announcement.
This downtown salon is pricey but good. Located just off Monument Circle, it is a convenient place to have salon services done on your lunch hour (if you work downtown). The staff is professional and somewhat snobby but not overly so. There are different levels of stylists and in my experience you will want to use a higher level stylist for the best haircut.
I used Golberg photography in 2000 for my wedding. It has been awhile so things may have changed. However, Golberg employs a staff of several photographers, my understanding is that many are freelancers. You did not know which photographer you will be getting which makes it tough to determine the quality of the photos. Our photographer came by himself. He was introverted, lacked personality and was very short. His height mattered because all the photos were taken from his angle-a very unflattering look for our tall group. As most pros know, you should stand on a stool for the most flattering portraits. Also, the pricing was misleading. I was led to believe you needed to purchase an album and then you could order as few or as many prints as you wanted. In fact, you had to purchase a 15 page album and fill it with photos. After that, you then had the option to order more additional prints. In summary, if you don't want a traditional wedding album DO NOT use this photographer. Again, this was years ago and hopefully the photographer has gone digital by now and is doing things differently. Overall, the wedding photos were not horrible but could have been a lot better and I was left with a poor impression and so I would not recommend Goldberg.
If you are looking for precision and perfection in your car detailing then this is the place to go. At one time they offered a package with neighboring Bella Naturale Salon so you could get your car detailed while you received salon/spa services. Excellent work at a competitive price.
