May 30, 2009. Capital Air installed a Goodman 5ton AC unit for our DR Horton home in late 2005. We purchased the home new in 2006, and have had to call a service tech every year since then due to a leaking coil. We finally asked Capital to replace the coil as it is still under warranty, but cost $800 for labor. Here are a few of the issues we have had with Capital Air:1. Service Tech scheduled 8-12am on Friday, arrived 4:20pm. I called them twice (11:45am & 1:15pm) and never received a call back.2. Was told replacing a coil is a 3-4 hour job...job was finished in 1.5 hours (for $800?). 3. Service Techs left work site a mess (wires dangling, debris, water bottle).4. Hole was burned into duct work, and another hose they installed was leaking air. 5. Later discovered they installed a USED filter on the outside unit. They must have ran out of new ones and welded the rusted, used filter on.6. AC STILL not working properly. It took 5 hours for AC to cool 5 degrees and it runs non-stop. 7. Called shortly after they left (and 3 times since then) and have yet to receive a call.If you can use a more reputable company and pay a little more, it would be worth it. BBB rates Capital as 'Unsatisfactory', I see why.
