This group of dedicated people helps those with Alzheimers. Their Alzheimer's Walk at Stanley Park has always been well attended and is a great fundraiser to be involved in.
Gray House
We supported the Gray House last year with a donation. They help the needy with food, clothes, and whatever they need. A dedicated group of volunteers! Stop in sometime, but note it's not a safe neighborhood.

Dr. Soley uses the newest of technologies. No more manual cracking and moving. This computer 'reads' your vertebre and shows you which is out of alignment, then the Dr. uses the probe to adjust those that need it. Follow that with wave interference therapy with heat or cold and you feel better on the first appt.
Maui Ocean Center
Great place to pay tribute to the wonders beneath the sea. This place has everything an aquarium has and also has outdoor pools with starfish etc. One of the best in the country.
Sugarcane Train
riding this steam train through sugar cane fields was a lot of fun. The tour guide narrated too and we all learned a lot. We watched the train turn around in the turnstyle before heading back.
Haleakala Bike Company
to see the southern cross, sunrise over a dormant volcanic crater as well as being above the clouds, riding down a volcano on the world's longest paved road with the greatest vertical drop through eucalyptus forest and ending with a great breakfast. Need I say more?
Old Lahaina Luau
Fire baton spinning, Hawaiin native climing a tree, authentic pig roast, poi (yuk, not my thing), chance for audience participation. Kids enjoyed it too. Great dinner entertainment. Beautiful dancers too.
Canoe Restaurant
A great outdoorsy place with Giant Hawaiin canoes on the ceiling. The food is very good. We had great service too. Reasonably priced. Not much to see there, but it's away from downtown.
