I had them restore and digitalize my family photo albums a few mouths ago. They turned out very nice and were done by the end of the week. It was nice they turned a huge pile of photo books into a few CD disks that our whole family can have a copy of and print out photos whenever we want.
Fast, professional and friendly would recommend.
The red lion in is located 3 miles up the Boulder canyon; it is in an older building next to Boulder creek. The rooms are small with not many windows but the lighting is OK.
I ordered the filet mignon and soup, to start with they brought out bread rolls that were very plain and tasted like cheap grocery store picnic rolls very bland and commercial made. The cream of asparagus soup tasted very bland like it was from a can and the pieces of asparagus in it were completely mush and soggy like they sat in a can for months or years, I am quite sure it was canned soup.
At this point I was very worried what the rest of my expensive meal was going to be like. I ordered the filet mignon it came out and it was a good piece of meat, I felt a little better. The filet mignon was OK it was it was good piece of meat and cooked OK but just was very plain and dry like a steak from a chain restaurant.
All the sides were poor the mashed potatoes were instant from a box and the other vegetables were fresh but just boiled and very plain. Usually at that kind of price range you get real potatoes and some sauted vegetables.
It would have been an average $25 meal from a chain restaurant but when I paid double I was very unimpressed.
Big prices but only average food, save your money this place is not worth it..
One of my friends had a car that had a little trouble and this place was the only place open on Sunday in Broomfield and the guy on the phone said ??no problem bring it down?.
So my frend goes down there and the guy working there took apart his car in the back/Junkyark/Repoyard. It turned out the car needed a part, which had to be bought the next day so he just said ok ??I??ll come get it tomorrow?.
The next day he went to get his car and the guy claimed it was completely unsaveable the engine is unfixable sorry.. but I have a $700 car for sale.
So my friend went there with a $4500. car that runs and just needed some minor work and next thing he knows the guy is trying to tell him it gone unfixable and then tries to get him to buy some rusted out piece of junkyard crap for $700.
So he tells him he will just have it towed down the street and looked at, well the guy says I give it one more try. Magically he fixed it..
This all reminded me of one of those nightmare movies where the guy breaks down in the middle of nowhere and the sleazy junkyard mechanic dismantles the car and the guy leaves with nothing,
But this was real life!!!
I took a car in there for a free break inspection a couple of years ago. I had a bad feeling when I pulled up and they had no cars and they were just sitting around doing nothing, usually a bad sign..
But I parked the car and gave them the keys and went to the store to get a snack. When I came back they had the car in the air and the wheels off, they said they had some prices and would show me what was wrong.
I have worked in auto shops before so I know a little about cars.
They showed me the breaks which looked fine plenty of pad and rotor left, but they told me they were shot and they didn??t believe I even made it here and that it was extremely dangerous to drive the car like this.. I know enough about cars that I knew they were trying to get a bunch of unnecessary work out of me, so I just nodded my head.
Then they went on to say a bunch of stuff in the front end was bad which I knew was not right because the car drives tight and had just had an alignment, so I just nodded my head.
Back at the counter they gave me a $1200.00 estimate I said I would have to think it over and get back to them.
The guy got very aggressive and said that I can??t drive the car around like that.. I was dangerous blabla. Then he said he would try to help me out and the estimate changed to $800.00. I said I would think about it, he seemed very angry and his mood got dark and cold.
So they put the wheels on the car and pulled it out.
Well it was leaking oil.. as they were pulling it out which it didn??t before, so I had a feeling that they loosened the drain plug or the oil filter. So I drove it down the road and had the oil changed, fixed the oil leak problem.. the oil change guy said the oil plug was finger lose. I am quite sure they loosed the oil plug because it didn??t leak before I pulled it in there..
2 years later the breaks are just fine and the front end is just fine and that was the best $1200.00 I never spent?
Stay away from this place they will clean you out on a slow day and might even destroy your car.
I really like Turleys the food I always good so is the service. The food is good quality and put together nice. It is your basic restaurant type meals burgers and sandwiches; they also have a lot of special drinks and juices. Turleys has always been constantly good whenever I went which is unusual in a lot of Boulder restaurants, but I have always had a good meal and good service. The atmosphere is nice spacious laid back nice tables and good windows and lighting
I would recommend Turleys for a good meal reasonably priced
The view from the flagstaff is probably the best view in Boulder.
The food is alright- they serve a lot of local Rocky Mountain type food elk, rabbit ect. The chief uses a lot of Mediterranean and French type spices and cooking flavors so it is kind of confusing, strong and strange flavors mingled. To me I like to taste a unique flavor but to mingle too many strong ones together just get strange and overwhelming. I think the chef is over confidant and loud, it is good food but there is a lot better chefs in the area.
The service is very good they have a lot of wait staff and they pay very good attention to what is going on. The presentation is very over done every thing get presented like it is a expensive masterpiece even the salt and butter.
The atmosphere is very stuffy and conceded not a good place for a laid back meal.
The view is good but it is over priced and the food is not that great. Would be best to go have an expensive drink at the bar see the view and go eat somewhere else.
Over priced and stuffy.
I had a Toyota corolla tinted there and it turned out good. They got it done quickly and were very professional. The location is a little ghetto it is in the old trailer court in North Boulder the locals call the trailer court ??The Dog Patch?, still nicer then going to Denver. There is plenty of parking and a park and coffee shop nearby.
There prices were about the same as the other places I got quotes from and they were a lot friendlier than any of the other places in Boulder.
I was going to get another car tinted there this last week but they were busy and had a week wait so I went thought someone in Broomfield.
I have been to an afternoon class once. The studio is OK a bit small but so are all the buildings around Pearl Street. They have quality instructors and it is a decent studio so I guess I would rank it as a Grade A studio.
The reason I don??t go there more often is it is right off of Broadway and Pearl so you have a lot of traffic noise and smog.
But if traffic noise and smog don??t bother you it is a quality studio with top-notch instructors.
It reminded me a lot of Bikrims with out the gigantic egos and a lot more crowded. I went to try it out and they gave me a fee week membership so I went to 5 classes over the week.
Pop music blares from little speakers in all the rooms and give the place uppity fitness center feel along with the plastic key chain skew tags and the monthly membership deals. The staff is nice enough but not very personal you can tell they deal with a large amount of traffic and people are just another face to them that they probably won??t remember next time.
It was always very crowded when I went some of the people who would show up last had to leave because there was no room left. No room to put your arms out in these classes.
I did always get a good work out from the sessions they seem pretty generic though like if you went for more then a month or two you would be doing the same stuff over and over. But for a basic generic routine it wasn??t that bad.
The men??s locker room was small!! And only had 2 showers so at
In 2004 I got a coupon from the paper for 10 days for $10.00 and went to 6 or 7 classes at Bikrams. The staff seemed very egotistical most of them walked around with their noses in the air not all but that was the general vibe I got from most of them. I noticed lots of trophies and contest winner articles for ??Yoga Competitions? I thought that was strange I never knew yoga was a competitive sport. I always though yoga was about softening the ego and self-exploration but I guess there is an ego boosting competitive side to it.
The studio seemed new back then not sure when they opened. It was very clean and had lots of nice windows the men??s changing room was nice and seemed new they had about 4 or 5 showers and good sized lockers. Not that many people were at the classes when I was there and it was spacious.
I didn??t really like the routine it was the same one every class just a lot of back stretches mostly very generic and basic. They had every instructor do the same routine just made it seem mass produced and boring.
I was OK for 6 classes for $10 the studio was new and nice. I wouldn??t pay full price for few reasons firstly because the classes were weak just generic and repetitious, I didn??t like the egotistical vibe of the place.
And mostly if you look into the history of Bikram Choudhury he is an egotistical guy in Beverly Hills who has copyrighted and franchised yoga to become rich and famous. To copyright yoga seems absurd,, how can you try to take something more then 2000 years old and put a copyright on it? Shuffle it around in a routine and say it is yours? Well the poses are 99% of it and they have been around forever for the benefit of mankind.
I wouldn??t recommend Bikrams unless you find one of the coupons for the really cheap trials.
I have a hard time supporting people like this.
