Wilshire Country Club
Gorgeous! This is one of the best designed, maintained and situated courses in the city. The greens are particularly immaculate, but the entire course is meticulously kept up. Much of the course was recently redone, making it significantly more challenging. A dress code is enforced and does not allow any casual dress. This is a private course. The green fees are subject to change. The food is also really good as well.
Noni Fashion Music & Art Btq
Trendy Noni is a fashionable boutique that's all about women. The store has a fabulous collection of clothes by designers, such as Louis Verdad, Luscious and Mon Petit Oiseau. I love to wander through the store as the walls play host to many paintings by local talents and also feature installations from around the country. Great sales and geat prices!
Cube Marketplace & Cafe
This shop does one thing (well, two, if you count the sauces), and it does a heavenly job of it. All of the pastas are fresh and completely natural and includes plain pastas, stuffed ravioli and more. You can't go wrong here, everything is delicious. Prices are great and this store delivers and ships gift baskets as well.
Doll House Lady
Amazing! This is truly an enchanting place to visit. At this family-owned venue you'll find more than 75 lovingly created models of the most irresistible dollhouses imaginable and each is completely outfitted with appropriate furnishings. I love this store they are so accomodating! If you want to purchase a finished product, the store will ship the smaller models to your destination. Prices are reasonable.
Apostrophe Books
Located at the Paseo Colorado mall, Apostrophe treats Pasadena's readers to its proud collection. Journals, stationary, cards, calendars and other stationery are also neatly stacked along the walls. You are sure to find a few rare volumes here and if not, they will accept your order gladly. They have a very helpful staff and their discounts are amazing!
O'connell's
This pub in Long Beach is a longtime favorite of many locals. It was one of the first pubs to open after the end of Prohibition. It has been through many owners over the years but the place stays the same. It is a great place to stop and have a beer if you are looking for a jolly atmosphere and a little bit of history rolled into one. The prices are Great!
M Bar & Grill
This popular club on Long Beach's Pine Avenue features live jazz and blues, as well as rock and alternative bands. The clientele is artistic and stylish but not overly pretentious. Patrons come to enjoy the good music and food, which is Mediterranean with a Latin influence. They have excellent fish and chicken dishes. Prices are reasonable and everyone is really friendly.
Don Victors Sports Bar & Grill
For any type of sporting event we usually go here. The bartenders and wait staff are always friendly and if there is a popular game on get there early as this placecan get crowded. Typical bar food which is good and the prices are good too!
Coco Renos
The Reno Room might look like a dive bar from the outside, but inside there's a cool atmosphere and interesting clientele. The center of attention is the long bar, which lies between a wall of cozy booths and several pool tables. It's a great place to go for a few drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. You can try various beers as well as killer martinis and other cocktails. If you're hungry too, you can order the typical bar fare such as nachos, quesadillas and more. Prices here are great!
