Blue Cafe
Happy Hour runs from 4p-8p weekdays and bands start playing at 5:30p. There are booths and tables downstairs and eleven pool tables upstairs. The kitchen is open until 11pm weeknights and serves a Louisiana influenced menu. Some dishes include Popcorn Chicken ($4.95), Jalapeno Poppers ($4.95), Greek Salad ($5.75), Steak Sandwich ($7.95), Veggie Sandwich ($5.50), and great burgers ($5.95-$7.95). The clientele is sophisticated and from mid-20s to mid-50s. Great place to go and unwind!
Alsace Lorraine Pastries
Delicious!! This pastry shop makes delicious and visually stunning gourmet cakes for all occasions, from birthdays to weddings. It has been open since 1958 and has established a reputation for only making the very best. The shop's bakers use ingredients like fresh whipped cream and fresh berries. The cheese cakes are out of this world and well worth a try whether it is for a special occasion or just a little personal splurging.
Frenchy's Bistro
This place is one of my top French restaurants to go to. It is family owned and everything taste so fresh and homemade. The prices are great and the service is spot on. Would highly recommend anyone to eat here.
Luna
This clothing shop is located on ever-trendy and popular Second Street and sells a great selection of beautifully crafted artisan items by several different independent artists from all over the United States. You can definitely find a great gift here as the shop specializes in glass items and jewelry, but also sells ceramics and other artistic items that would look great in anyone's home or office. Prices are reasonable and the staff was great.
Zov's Bistro
This Mediterranean-style restaurant is one of the best places to eat in the area. The decor is modern and elegant and the and I love the creative menu and friendly service. It is a bit expensive but well worth it.
Jak's Bistro Bar & Grill
This is a great place to go after work to get a burger and a beer. The prices are really good and the wait staff is always friendly which is exactly what I need after a long hard day at work. Would highly recommend going here the food is really good.
Tapestry & Company
This unique store sells tapestry handbags by Brighton, as well as casual clothing for both men and women in a variety of styles. It also sells gifts and accessories by a wide assortment of designers. I usually find something of interest for both men and women whether you are looking for clothes or that unique gift you can't find anywhere else. Prices are reasonable and everyone is really friendly.
Rick Wickeds Premium Cigars
Need a gift? Here you will find a fine smoke and gift shop selling more than 30 brands of domestic and imported cigars ranging from inexpensive to premium. It also sells tobacco and pipes as well as a good collection of interesting gifts. Phones, clocks, incense burners, knives, swords, watches and jewelry are among the more than 300 gifts you will find here. It is well worth a visit whether you are a cigar aficionado or not.
World Evolution
World Evolution is a yoga studio and gift shop. Yoga classes run several times a day from 6:30a-7p and the teachers are all great! The gift shop sells New Age products like incense, scented candles, books on related topics, from yoga to spirituality, abalone shells, sage, and more. If you know anyone that is spiritual you can definitely find a gift here.
Rubber Tree
The Rubber Tree is one of those shops that everybody in town knows about. It is an adult-oriented store selling both serious and fun adult gifts for those with an adventurous spirit. There are also plenty of risque items that you will have to see for yourself. I usually buy their fun greeting cards and gift bags.
