Old Milwaukie Cafe & Dessert
Great little family spot for breakfast on 6th Ave. This little corner joint is everything you'd expect out of a "hole in the wall". Friendly, welcoming service and good food. Try the pancakes and their thick cut bacon -- yum! The only downfall: it can be a very long wait. As cute as it is, the restaurant's tiny and very popular meaning you'll be waiting.
Seven Stars Pepper Szechuan Restaurant
I picked this restaurant because it was rated readers' choice for Best Chinese Food in Seattle. The restaurant was packed, if that says anything for popularity. We waited about 20minutes but were served our food immediately. The food was pretty good, generous portions, inexpensive but a little salty.
Pazzo's
Pazzo's is one of the few businesses that have managed to stay open with all the condo construction in Eastlake. Their menu has some variety, the pizza is pretty good, and the drinks are mighty strong. It's got a great, casual, neighborhood feel to it.
Icon Grill
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle -- famous for their comfort foods, especially Mac 'n' Cheese. Their ice cream sundae is to die for, coated with chocolate and topped with your choice almonds, cookie pieces, whipped cream, or M&M's. The atmosphere feels like you've walked into a fancy art gallery.
Pho Cyclo Cafe
Though I haven't tried any other types of cuisine at Pho Cyclo, I wouldn't recommend their pho. The taste is bland. They put broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots in their non-meat pho (inauthentic if you ask me) and the meat is cut very thick. Also, it's expensive in comparison to the millions of other pho shops in Seattle.
Eastlake Teriyaki
I frequently visit this teriyaki stop, because it's one block away from my apartment. Taste is typical.
PROS: The food is fast, fairly inexpensive, and the service is family-owned and friendly.
CONS: They give you way more rice than meat.
Lourdes M. Acuesta, DDS
This is one of the friendliest dental/doctor offices I've ever visited! The staff are warm and welcome you with smiles. They're flexible when scheduling your appointments. They're open late several times a week to accomodate busy work schedules. The dental hygenist, Stella, is gentle yet thorough, funny, and personable. It's an appointment I actually look forward to.
Rosita's
Great freshly made Mexican food...fresh hot salsa, fresh handmade tortillas that you can watch them make.
They've got huge burritos that are worth trying.
PROS: I love their chips and salsa!
CONS: It's centrally located at Greenlake and very popular so it can get very busy and crowded.
Ayutthaya Thai Restaurant
Excellent Thai cuisine, extremely affordable, and great service. This is the first Thai restaurant I'd ever been to and have now been a Thai food fanatic for the last eight years!
The interior is quaint and clean. The staff are very friendly and know me by name -- they have my order ready as soon as I walk through the door! Service is fast and the taste is consistent. Try the beef pad see eww with sticky rice, my favorite.
