Grossinger Toyota North
Very disappointing experience. Much of the information initially given online was later misrepresented. You need to check them on every step as they put extras anywhere they can. The whole process felt like in old time movies about slimy car dealers.
Harada Michael DDS
I was put into the schedule at short notice. The office staff was very efficient and courteous. Dr. Harada was very kind and honest. He did examinations himself without hurry and very detailed. After, he presented all option to me. He did not try to push for extra things.
Great dentist, great experience.
EGGY’S DINER
Hidden gem. Urban breakfast and lunch diner in the middle of downtown area. What a surprise. Kind of hard to find it is so well hidden. Very good solid breakfast staples with pancakes and eggs. I did not try lunch.
Service was pretty fast and great experience.
Tacos Garcias
Slightly vintage ambiance. Very good solid Mexican food choices for such a neighborhood place. .Very good tacos and especially torta al pastor or steak. If you expect Topolobampo restaurant ambiance and quality you will be disappointed. Otherwise welcome addition to Chicago ethnic eating.
Soto Tire Repair
Wow, cheap, fast shop to fix your tires in need. It was only 5 min. wait and $13 spent. Tire was patched and I was ready to go.
Caribou Coffee
friendly service and surprisingly good coffee. Decent baked goods. I like more than Starbucks. Only complaint: not much seating and no free parking
Lula Cafe
Despite of dark interior and musty smell, they deliver very interesting combination of local food mixtures, seasonably adjusted.
Try something out of your regular taste range as you could be rewarded.
New Wave Coffee
Very big and industrial looking but popular place to sip your drinks.
Many electrical outlets but many people staying here for long time.
For best of the word get coffee here and go next door to get French bread and pastries.
La Boulangerie
Wow, French bakery with freshly made crepes and bread in Chicago.
Warm garlic and parmesan baguettes and other bakery items waiting for you. Very good croissants.
Coffee has to be ordered next door.
Red Rooster Wine Bar & Cafe
Hidden jam half block from the Halsted Ave. Nice place to taste different wines by the fireplace and enjoying very relaxed ambiance.
You can get same dishes as in the main restaurant but smaller plates are probably better. Good place to go with friends to talk as music is only in the background. However, it closes pretty early.
