Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain
Anyone who takes their prescriptions to Fair Oaks Pharmacy, be sure that you check for mistakes!
Having been a fan of the Fair Oaks Pharmacy in former years, I took my four children to the shop to experience one of their delicious phosphate sodas. Unfortunately, what they experienced was a lesson in business operations and ethics.
My kids each ordered a phosphate from the girl at the counter, and when she brought the drinks, they sipped them without complaint, but when I tasted one, I noticed they were unusually AWFUL! They were extremely bitter and sour, and did not taste good at all. They ordered chocolate and bubblegum. I asked the girl who made our drinks if they could just exchange them for a child's size ice-cream, a reasonable exchange, I thought, since we would still be losing money in the process. She said no, if we didn't like them, we would have to purchase another item, and then she took them and dumped them out.
We were all disgusted, with the sodas, but also with the quality of business they conducted. We left quietly. The same girl (whom I had just paid in cash) then chased us out to our car asking if we had paid. I told her we had and we left.
Don't waste your time or money at the Fair Oaks Pharmacy. Spend your money someplace where good old fashion ethics and values are practiced. You can get Dreyer's ice-cream (which is the brand they use - no they do not make their own, but Cold Stone's does!) just about anywhere.
I hope their pharmacy dealings are more honest than their sodafountain. I'm very careful about my family's medical care, and would never trust them to fill a prescription for any member of my family based on the mistakes they made in making a simple soda, and unwillingness to fix it, as well as their lack of care in the way they treated my children. I hope anyone who does take their prescriptions there is very careful to make sure it is filled properly.
