this place has a nice atmosphere, good people. if you are a european soccer fan, go here to watch matches. i really like the chef statue in the front that has years ago had his nose smashed in.
Tokyo Delve's Sushi Bar

they really encourage people to drink quite a bit here. besides that, the sushi is gummy, sort of suspect. i guess one could take the north hollywood line to have a sucessful birthday party here without driving. but i wouldn't drive here thinking you will have a safe trip. there is no reason to go, but to drink.

Im somewhat a cheap man. But I can be reasonable when it comes to food. 13 dollar hamburgers are unacceptable in my book. Mine was pretty damn good though. Good sweet pickles. Great atmosphere.
Weiland Brewery Underground
the bar is located close enough to the front entrance of union station to let you get a drink and not worry about driving home if you leave early enough. food is marginal. they have a lot of beers on tap. some people dont notice that they have a nice back patio.
Northridge Skateland
growing up in the valley, skateland is a great, safe hang out for young teenagers. also a great place to throw a birthday party. even at 26 i'm considering throwing a disco birthday party. not sure if they let booze in though...
Nick-N-Willy's Pizza
You know how quiznos sandwhich are that much better because they are toasted? well this place takes it a step further. toasts your sandwhich in a pizza oven. aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh sandwhich. got the italian, 5 stars baby.
Porter Ranch Cleaners
does any dry cleaner really deserve 5 stars? i think 4 is fair. no problems here, good service, gets you the stuff on time. i've been using their service this summer. no complaints.
Outdoor Grill to All American BBQ
The food is tasty, yet the portions have been steadily shrinking. Prices have stayed the same, just less food, less meat. The location is perfect if you live in the area. Just order the larger option. The mac and cheese is alright.
El Indio Mexicano Restaurant
good mexican food is better than baja fresh. if you haven't really had good mexican food, check this place out. it's close and not expensive. i recommend the burritos. ole.
Porter Ranch Hairstyling
This place is great to go for men's haircuts. When you have finally lost trust in supercuts ability to not give you a bald spot the day before you have to give a business presentation in front of 45 people. The ladys that cut hair here are very cheery, nice. Very professional. I reccomend.
